The Central Park dogwalker incident had hit full SJW outrage.

Lol Imagine getting mad over a dog leash
...and recording it. It's like a microcosm of everything wrong. It's got:
* a slightly racist Karen who doesn't think the law applies to her and calls 911 in broad daylight while in a park with people everywhere;
* a busybody dude that threatens people with dog treats and an ego that makes him record it;
* a hypersensitive girlfriend who posted an innocuous video,
* fake outrage from viewers,
* people wearing masks even though they're outside;
* a spineless company willing to fire somebody for nothing during a depression.

It's a sea of people who'd all be fine if they'd just take a deep breath and ignore things that don't really matter.

Cocker Spaniels are known to be killers. They maul people
Not the point. The sign says leash your dog. If she had done that and kept walking, she’d still be working, now wouldn’t she? And FYI, cocker spaniels can be temperamental dogs. We had one and had to keep it away from small children. Just flat didn’t like them. It was a shelter dog and maybe was abused previously but it didn’t matter. We kept kids away from it.

In the week Joe Biden tells black people they’re not actually black unless they vote for him, the person who loses their job is some rando walking their dog

Well, better than telling all Jews that they are obligated to vote Republican. Geez, where was all the right wing outrage then ??

The media and his desire to be a “victim” made this a story

Huh? She's the one out of line. She's the one who called the cops. She's the one who injected race in to it when she called the cops.

He has since said he was taken aback that she got fired over it. He seems completely reasonable throughout and since.

I think its good she has apologized. I think its wrong for others to speculate to defend her when she has apologized unreservedly.

No one is defending her. She was in the wrong too, she should’ve had the dog on a leash. He should’ve minded his own business and not be a weirdo creep , she shouldn’t have called 911. He shouldn’t have posted it online

Both of these people are idiots. Sure she should have had the dog leashed and if there’s a fine for such offense then fine her, but the guy was also an ass. Both of these people are idiots

What’s hilarious about this thread is imagine the same posters’ reaction if he had the dog off the leash and an officer was asking him to leave the park because of it.
Based on recent history the cop would have just shot the dog. Might take him a few shots but he'd get it

this event is exactly the kind of thing that makes whites who talk a good liberal game at cocktail parties turn around and push the R-button in the voting booth.

Reasonable people don't carry dog treats to feed random pets, and reasonable people certainly don't feed the pets of people with whom they're having a disagreement. That behavior is inherently weird and I fully support any person who decides to call the police on an individual acting so erratically.

Yeah, on the surface, it’s a little ridiculous but there is a reason to enforce leash laws. Let one girl with a cocker spaniel get away with ignoring it and the next person with a German Shepherd, Rottweiler or Pit Bull thinks they shouldn’t have to put a leash on either. Can’t play favorites. Just put the dang leash on and go about your business. I’ll bet she does the next time.

Not unless the guy with the weed threatens to bite me. Again, let her get away with it and the guy with the pit bull thinks he doesn’t have to leash his dog either. One thing that’s wrong with this country—people that like to bend rules and think it’s OK. Of course, one has to look no further than our leaders to see where that attitude comes from. I’m bored with this already. End of discussion.

I agree except for one thing . . . It's flat out bizarre to show up at a park with dog treats in your pocket in case you find one off its leash so you can antagonize the owner.
