Wilson racquets have gone through at least 3 significant major overhauls while Federer has played them and he's won with all of them. Granted, his are customized, but even then, the weight, balance and feel of them have still dramatically changed. I don't think racquets make that big of difference for him. Give him a few months to adjust to the racquets back in Sampras' day or give Sampras a few months to adjust to the racquets of today and Federer wins the overwhelming majority of matches, regardless of the surface.
no way. I love that you can't win a major with a tie break. What a match. Followed while I was out on the golf course, then watched then end after the round. Just watched a replay a little bit ago.
Fantastic performance from both players and Andy has to feel good about his chances when he gets back on the hard court. He was still serving near 140 after it was 12-12 in the fifth set. That's insane. It might be the moment, but I think that was better than Federer-Nadal last year.
