Come on Lady Vol nation, we just need few more new threads on why Holly should be fired (like today) to shift the very cosmic balance of the Universe. Just a few more downer threads and the LVs will never miss another shot, lose another game, and all your wildest dreams will come true. We are soooh close. To help out, here a few possible

Come’on folks the permutations are endless and it never gets olds. It’s like the movie groundhog day; each day a volnation poster wakes up and goes “Oh my GAWD! No one has realized that Holly is doing terrible and needs to step down. I MUST TELL THE WORLD!”

"And, by God, I've coached at every level and I have been a Lady Vol fan for 75 years! I will not stand by and say nothing when this program is in a downward spiral because Holly can't coach! She never deserved the job anyway! (But I love Holly the PERSON.) I will start 486 threads on Volnation and I will comment on every thread - even the recruiting threads - if I have to comment the same thing 10,492,326 times until you ALL agree with me! And if you don't agree with me you are a dumbass and don't know anything about basketball and your posts have no substance and are of no value."

Does that about cover it? 😂😂😂😂😂

The Lady Vol program as a whole is in good shape...Great talent and great recruiting. I think Holly is just not a bare knuckles kind of coach. She seems to 'hope' the team plays well rather than 'expect' them to. If she had a little more bulldog in her personality she could coach this talent to the final 4 very easily....as it is....who knows.

What was the attendance at the Baylor Game?
W's and L's aside. When a new AD is in place, that will assist in making it clear to replace her.

I do DISAGREE with the statement starting this thread, about Holly "keeping the program together"... BS.

She inherited a Program the AD was attempting to Kill and could care less if it went South. Poor Coaching by Holly fit well into Harts plan. He loved it!@!!

I don't think the program is struggling because she can't coach a team...I believe that the team is struggling for lack of a certain coaching personality missing from her staff.

Here's positive input: Holly can recruit, is totally loyal to the university, has served everyone well as a player and assistant coach and will always be a Lady Vol legend.

Patience is a virtue. Don't forget this fact.

Holly's 2017 recruiting is nothing less than miraculous, and the early start to the 2018 class is encouraging.

Holly is her own worse enemy. She needs to get out of her head, stop complaining and admitting she has no answers or focus right now. Draw the wagons, practice fundamentals, demand excellence, become a tougher taskmaster. Your team is soft. I know you aren't because I witnessed your guts in competive action. Take control of this team NOW and remind these young ladies the competition to play going forward starts now, not when the Number One class comes to town. Middleton, Jackson, Dunbar and Nared should be very afraid. Mercedes must become stronger physically but she's headed in the right direction. Diamond may be a lost cause, unfortunately. When her game is on = nirvana. But "on" is becoming more rare. Sad.

Go Lady Vols!

Great post. If only Holly would read and heed!

I honestly thought Holly was in her early 50s? She looks great if shes in her late 50s to early 60s... and still riding a Harley... You go girl!

According to her bio she was born June 11, 1958, which would make her 58 now and 76 in 18 years.

Holly has devoted her whole adult life To all things Lady Vols. She is a great person. At the conclusion of this season she will have had 5 full seasons to demonstrate her stuff. She will not be fired unless there is some huge scandal that unfolds. She will be in charge at least until the conclusion of this season because the New Athletic Director will not take such precipitous action even if it is David Blackburn.

She is 58 years of age and I believe by all state conditions is eligible for State retirement. If she continues on the glide path of last season and so far this season for the remainder of this season, the right thing for her to do and for the University to do is to retire with a huge retirement parade in honor of all that she has done for the Lady Vols.If such was to take place she would depart sometime next Spring or Summer. All of us are in favor of what is best for the Lady Vol program going forward and there have been harsh critics of players, coaching, recruiting ( last year in particular ) including me but all of these key strokes only accomplished one thing for all of us ....ventilation.I believe that every soul in each Camp { get rid of or retain Holly ) is easily identified from posts in the last two months and sufficient ventilation of those ideas well known. It does no good ( other than ventilation ) to continue the dialogue on either side of this issue so it would be best for the program to at least tone down the rhetoric until the season ends....even during the losses that are sure to ensue.
So that is what I propose ,lets tone it down until next April when a new Athletic Director has had some time in the seat ( speculation is that a new AD will be in place by Christmas ),Holly and her team performance has proved out either successfully or not.I believe that New AD will assess the situation and take appropriate action at that time.
I realize that I am considered the " Devil " preaching to Angels here so take that into account in your reaction to this post

I agree with the spirit of your post but I really don't see Holly stepping down or the new AD replacing her even if the season were to turn out really substandard [though if the LVs missed the tournament, maybe but I don't see that happening].

I don't think Holly would want to leave on a failing note particularly with her first #1 recruiting class coming in. And I don't think an AD would fire her hire all things consider after recruiting such a class. I do think we might see a major shake-up in the staff, if the team has a poor SEC run but Holly is most likely safe for another 2 years past this season.

It is such bunk when people are described as having "...devoted X# years to a program..."!

They didn't "devote" a damned thing. They were highly compensated for a task that anyone could have performed (at some level.)

The perks and salaries of coaches is ridiculously high for a position which provides nothing of real value.

They are relatively all spoiled brats compared to real-world
work.

Market-value my friend. Being a coach is "real world" work, just like being a stock trader on Wall Street or a clerk at Wal-Mart, or a factory worker, or tax attorney. For better or worse, those jobs are compensated quite differently.

Over the years, Holly had other opportunities to leave UT (for more $) and she stayed. So, there is some demonstrated sense of loyalty and devotion to the University and the LV program.

As for "real value," as CPS often emphasized, she was a teacher and someone who was instilling values that would help her student-athletes succeed in life. I am sure Holly feels the same way; if that is not value, I don't know what is.

And have any of you ever met Jolette Law, tough ass woman, played with the Harlem Globetrotters, men! Coach under Stringer, who holds no punches in telling you like it is. Need I say mo.

Have you ever met Reeves, tough ass Tenn gurl who was the captain on her Alabama team that went to the Final 4 in 93. Wuteva?

Clock is ticking for some fans, like all of em show to their job everyday ready to work, like they haven't never failed on a project, or as a parent. Ignore list is getting rather long.

Clock is ticking on another Fire Holly Thread.

They are not even backing it up with facts, just what they feel, and all they feel is negativity, which speaks volume to their character and person.
