The cumulative Pearl thread

Do you want Bruce Pearl to be Head Coach at UT next season?

I wanted to see a poll on this. I think the people who want Bruce Pearl to be replaced at the end of the season are a small minority on this board.
This is the third poll I've seen. One on GVX,one on Volquest and this one. All are a large majority in favor of keeping Pearl. It's good to see the large majority, of Vol fans are forgiving folks, not a bunch of moralists that continue to believe that they're above reproach and never sinned in any way.

My response depends entirely on whether we can justify keeping him after the NCAA rules on this mess. If they go easy on both Pearl and UT then I can see keeping him. If he is suspended for a year, we get a tournament ban and some scholarships removed or any combination of those things, then fire his ass.

Not all of us are above reproach.

Don't lump me together with all who have and will continue to hate the guy.

I supported him up until I found out he committed a violation 4 days after saying sorry.

Since when is having morals a bad thing? Furthermore, what's wrong with expecting ethical behavior?

Problem is, this is Pearl's third or fourth trip down the road he paved.

Yes, I'm surprised. He's the first decent coach the BB program has had in 20 years. O'Neill was ok but soon left. Green couldn't recruit.

Greens problems were not recruiting. he could not coach and what got him more than that was he distanced himself from the fans. Not a likeable character. If he could coach a lick a change would have never been made. Meaning not letting North carlina off the hook and we mak the Elite 8 then play a Tulsa team we should have handled and we are in the Final 4.

Having morals is a great thing but having attorney's acting like their the moral authority on ethical behavior is a joke...

Pearl's genius really sprung from his ability to market himself and, in doing so, the UT program. That ability is gone now. Other coaches, who already did not like Pearl, now have even more firepower to use against him when they talk with recruits and recruits' parents.

By getting rid of Pearl now, UT still has the chance to land a decent coach. Wait a few years, and that window could be closed again.

I see several women who voted "Yes" - and believe those should be removed.

We already know that they shouldn't be allowed to vote in an actual election, and a message board poll is likely too far beyond their limited reasoning skills as well.

Clearly, these mindless shills are doing nothing more than voting in accordance with their husband's orders. Again, just like a real election.

Like I said, don't expect a real answer to your original question.

It just really exposes why our society is so jacked up. Someone is lying and cheating in both professional and personal ways, yet if you are appalled by that it's because he's Jewish or you hate chest paint.

Dont forget tanning beds.......

Don't expect an answer to that one.
Problem with moralists is they feel like they've never sinned, thus being there are no true moralists. Jesus said," those without sin should cast the first stone". There is nobody on this board that hasn't told a lie:sad:

Nice dodge.
