I voted no, we need the Dooley's of the world not the Kiffins, and Pearl, for all his good results, has taken the low road. I am an alumni of this institution and plan on sending my daughters there when they go to school. I want to have something to point at and tell them "See, you CAN accomplish great things without taking short cuts and lying, you just have to work hard". If you cant win honestly, then loose honorably. If you cant even loose honorably, you weren't man enough to be in there in the first place.

the best part of this pole could be the average age of the vote for yes vs no. my guess it the over 30 says no and the under 30 vote is yes.

Turn Bruce a loose. Without him we have a big empty cave to look at . He alone brought life back to a totally dead program !!! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I am sure those that want him fired have never told a lie in their life.

Are you implying that he is bigger than the University?

Are you implying that no one will support UT Basketball after BP? What happens when he retires/passes away? We just give up? Didn't know we had a shelf life.

Funny, you couldn't answer any of the simple questions I asked, yet I'm the one who can only understand "plain" implications...

Just because you lack morals doesn't mean the rest of us that have a vested interest in this University have to suffer through it and let people drag it's name through the mud. He should have been fired immediately.

I answered you question with simple fact. I like Bruce Pearl . I really do not think I was implying anything. I was just stating a fact. Implication did not exist in my initial statement. Only facts. By the way, I do not lack morals! I happen to have a very invested in this University. I am a graduate of the UT system !

I like Pearl and want him to stay but if his firing will stop these million threads a day then hell yea, fire him!

OK, let's project to the future. CBP is going to be suspended at least 1 full season, maybe two. His assistants lied as well, so who knows what punishments they will get. So who coaches the team in his absence? Then, when he does return, how in the world is he going to recruit? He can't get the kids he wants now, much less with a show-cause on his resume. He lies and can't put kids in the NBA...quite-attractive.

Bruce Pearl transformed UT basketball and I hate to see all of this happening, but keeping him is going to tear it all down.

Some people on this board think their opinion is the only one that matters. I f you disagree with them you are lacking in morals. This is the very reason I looked for about two years before I posted. It is so very obvious that the poll this thread was started for clearly shows that the majority want Pearl to stay. Yet, I am immoral for wanting to keep him.....Come on man !!!! Grow some _ _ _ _ ! He reminds me of a child I know . If you don't play the games he wants to play he will take his toys and go home. Let it be known, I have a right to my opinion just like everyone else does. I respect your and you should respect mine.

Are you on meth? You can't answer any of the real questions about the problems we face with keeping him, you just keep screaming to keep him, but we are the children?

Hey kid, I'm an adult and will say it, BALLS. We need someone in our Athletic Department to have some and stand up for something this University lacks from the President position down to the basketball coach, leadership.

You can't just break the rules, drag a 200 year old University through the mud in the process, and expect that everything is cool just because you won some games. Having some morals and taking a stance in what's right takes BALLS.

It's funny you would sell your dignity for a single elite eight appearance.
