Exaclty. We couldn't even beat a crippled Catholic 7 team that was ripe for the picking. Christon and the Great White Dope chuckled as they had their way with us last night.

I don't mind well-deserved criticism and have offered up my own. It's the "sky is falling" extremism that is so stupid and over-the-top. People giving up on the season after the first game?!?

If you don't see the ridiculousness in that, nothing I can say will help you.

Btw, where have you and the legions of miserable been for the last eight months?

no reason we should lose to an Xavier team as poor as this one. although with the new NCAA rules on physicality, it is going to be tougher for us to play our style of ball

We've been following football recruiting for the last eight months. Opining about the boring brand of bb we play now year round isn't our cup of tea.

Ahh I gotcha. I definitely agree that throwing in the towel for the season after one game is ridiculous. There are some issues that need to be addressed, and I hope CCM can get this thing going. I like him, want him to succeed, and I still think he can get it done.

First you're quoting me and posting about them thinking we're not top 25, when I said nothing of the sorts...and now you're saying they think we suck because they had a team who's projected to make the dance favored by 3 over us at their place.

I quoted u bc they were favored to win and I was making the point that most people's perception is different than our own. Also most predictions have them between sixth and eighth and in the NIT.....you can't hand pick the one that happens to think they will make it.

You were using the argument that the experts had them favored over us and he replied that the experts know how we play early in the season.

Sounds reasonable to me considering the players he has at his disposal. As I said in another post in another basketball thread(can't remember which one), there are no excuses!
