The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

At least Washington will still suck... NYG are still ahead and the Eggles just lapped us this offseason.

I think I can set my sights on a wild card berth, but nothing more. Romo will have to be super Romo for most of the season for that to happen.

I can't envision winning road dates at NYJ, Pats, Philly, Tampa or NYG. I do see an equal number of lock W's, though.

I just don't understand Jerry's philosophy on FA's. There were several needs that could have been filled and good players on the board. None were signed. Yes cap room is tight. But good grief. Is Jerry angling for a mediocre season and a high draft pick? Does he really believe that the talent is in place for a deep playoff run? 10 wins is all I can see. And that's being optimistic.

What does everyone think of Newman? I just never really notice him on the field.

Was great. Not anymore. Still great instincts, but has lost explosiveness. Not a true cover corner anymore. He's good, but not great. Has been injured a good bit the last few seasons.

That's what I wanted to say, but I just could not recall seeing him do anything the last couple years.

.

Cant say it enough. Our secondary sucks.

Not getting a great feeling on the upcoming season either. Just don't think Dallas addressed the areas of weakness like they needed to. And in the meantime Philly added some good players. I don't see a definite W against a division rival besides the Redskins.

But no matter how disappointed I am with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys' offseason moves I will still be watching every game. Really excited to watch Dez Bryant progress into the dominant WR that he is. IMO he will put up bigger numbers than Miles this season. He has all the talent in the world.

Also will be interesting to see how Romo comes back from injury. And most of all I am excited to watch D-Ware on defense. I love the way he plays. Watch him every defensive play.

Same, I can't turn away -- I actually have to go to BWW to catch most of the games since at least half of the games every season air at the same time as the Seachickens over here, and of course get preempted.

Looks like another year of 6-10 where Romo will have a 95 QB rating, the defense will be a joke, and everyone will say Romo sucks. Apparently were focused on Elam? or did he sign somewhere else too?

It's because he does, in fact, suck.

Turnover Tony is one of the worst problems on that roster.

Yes, but I was talking about his entry into the Supplemental Draft.

What did everyone think of the Boys tonight?

Lol @ tebow. The announcer thought one of his passes had to be tipped it was so bad. Funny thing was it wasn't tipped. Espn claimed he had a decent game but clearly didn't watch. Bronco fans should be proud that their coach is putting the better QB in.

Tyson Poots got a snag tonight for the Cowboys. All-American for my SUU Thunderbirds. Hopefully he can make their squad.

I didn't watch either, but 6 for 7 at 13 YPA, and 2 carries for 15 yards....it looks like he had a pretty nice day. The pass you are talking about must be his sole incompletion.
