The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

Only dez could have his career best and worst game on the same night. I believe in Garrett it's just too bad Jones won't let him coach. Jerry Jones is the worst GM in sports.

I thought that QB might eventually be McGee, but we dropped him. I understand people hating Romo, but the problems with this offense go far beyond him. The line can't block, the receivers can't catch, and nothing ever improves.

I have very similar feelings toward Garrett and Dooley. They are both young intelligent coaches that I really like. However I fear that neither one is equipped to win in the positions they find themselves.

I hope I am wrong in both cases.

I think Garrett's hands are tied by Jerry. After the Seattle loss Garrett sounded like he was going to cut Felix, and bench some others. Then Jerry comes out and says Felix will remain the starting KR. Plus all the terrible players Jerry has overpaid that Garret has to find a way to compete with in the nfce.

You make a good point

Jerry does a great job promoting and doing everything an owner should.

He just needs to hire a real gm and butt out. We'll never win another superbowl with Jerry meddling.

Basically that it wasn't all Romo's fault, but he still has to do a better job of protecting the ball. (Two of the INT's weren't his fault). Romo creates plays behind a bad O-line. He also ripped Dez for having 3 crucial drops, a terrible penalty, and for not knowing to run a hitch on that INT. Dez apparently said the DB made a great play for that INT which drew some criticism.

That's kind of a combination of what everyone said.

Ah, I heard tidbits of that, yes. 5 picks were CERTAINLY not all on Romo. Which two did he put on him?

It's never, ever one thing.

Steve said the Dez INT was all Dez, the Ogletree INT was obviously all Ogletree. He put the other 3 on Romo. The "fumble" was on Romo because he needs to secure that. The last two he was trying to force the ball down by 17.

The one by DJ Moore was a lazy ass route by Miles Austin. Still maybe not a ball he should throw, but an awful route.

Which is unusual for Austin, because he's general one of the guys I don't question on the team, along with Witten, Ware and Lee.
