So...this is looking like a foundation building epic draft, building on the OL picks that Stephen Jones talked his Pops into. Any chance he gives credit to his son and the scouting?

He had previous accusations though. The article does state lengthy ban doesn't it? That certainly won't be 1 game. It's going to be what the rules calls for & I think it's either 6 or 10 games for 1st time offense without any prior accusations or incidents. It's 4 games for 1st time drug violation but they are even stricter on domestic violence.

lol you guys are funny. It's been reported that the cops state they have others who discount her story and text messages where she threatens to lie about it to police to take him down and now he's Josh Brown and Ray Rice. Funny stuff

I'm not claiming him to be anybody but Ezekiel Elliott. I was just plainly stating the rules. I think he's innocent but so have others that have been suspended for domestic violence accusations alone.

I'm a Cowboys fan for Pete's sake. I want him on the field. My reply was simply stating the facts of the rules & not thing else about taking sides or anything like that. Thanks!

Players that have been suspended have been duly investigated... usually by the police. When the authorities say a complainant isn't credible the NFL isn't going to suspend the player based on said nonmerit.

It's happened before butchna. I can't think of the players it's happened to but players have been suspended when they haven't been officially charged with a domestic crime.

You can't think about it because it HASN'T HAPPENED. Rice had the videotape...and police charges. Hardy had police charges, Peterson...those are EXAMPLES. And I barely tried. Name ONE case where a discredited accuser's word was taken and a suspension ensued...domestic violence wise.

I'll think of the two player's names sometime sooner or later. This has been a while back before the stricter rules were put into place. I want to say Junior Seau was one of those players but not 100% sure.

I know he had several domestic situations while he was plying but was never charged. I think he never received no more than a 1 game suspension if any. I'll remember this other player later & I'll let you know.

I'm not even sure Seau is the one I'm thinking about either but I think I'm right on that one. Thanks buddy for the conversation.

Funny how the narrative changed from "lots" and "every time" to "I think" and "1 game I think I remember". Seriously...the always anxious Cowboys media down here in DFW have already punted this one...maybe relax a lil. He ain't missing a second because of this.

Less healthy line than last season. Healthy Sean Lee on defense and Marinelli has coached up some contributors...huge! Jerry has been deferring to Stephen and the scouts (mostly) draftwise, and this latest one has produced! When you're not having a heart attack every time your QB takes a sack or hard hit, the resulting peace of mind begats confidence and dedication to a gameplan thus wins! No way this team wins a game like Philly where everything goes wrong and you still pull it out, the previous 5-10'years. This is new territory.
