He'd be crazy to sit. He'd also be crazy to play on this franchise tag. He'd be one snap away from leaving $140M on the table. Really, there is only one choice here that makes sense. Cowboys shouldn't budge.

I agree. Thats good money. Probably not Mahomes money, but I don't think he's Mahomes. Maybe he thinks with a better coach, he will look better, win more, and make more money than if he signs now, but McCarthy is a better coach for Dalton, or anyone else, as well. Mighty big risk.

I like Dak though. I'm glad he's doing well overall. Hope he gets a good payday. I just think 5 yr 175 mil is a good payday.

Even if Dak is an actual better QB, it's hard to believe he's counting on his stats getting better or the team winning much more. It's probably gonna take both to get what he wants

IDK what people were expecting from McCarthy. Such a boring hire. They got hosed on that Gallup call, so this is a one-possession loss that you probably shouldn't hold against them.

Cowboys need to run Dak more, especially early in games. He should be running 10x per game.

Lincoln Riley said no so they went with the safe hire. Might work, might not. There really are no excuses for the offense though. Way too much talent to lose many games. They should put up 30+ each week.

I thought Kellen Moore was some wunderkind? That game plan was straight from the early 90s.

I never understood this McCarthy hire.

It was a "safe" hire. Sounds a lot like what we do at UT. With similar results.
