Not sure my expectations were very high this year. I wanted to believe JM could grab the reigns and go, but retained reservations. He still may, but he’s been at this college football thingie for six years now. Third year in this system.

I thought we could be anywhere from 8-4 and 10-2. 9-3 is looking likely but 8-4 could very well happen with road matches against Kentucky and Missouri. 7-5 would be a big disappointment in the fanbase’s eyes imo though. Florida and Alabama were about as winnable as possible in any given year against them. Give us last year’s team and we would be undefeated and the number 1 team in the country. It all boils down to the QB play.

I'm not disappointed in the loss to Bama. I gave reasons (2) earlier today and both came true. Although QB Milton had a great 1st half, I could see the disaster coming a mile away. Joe isn't the Vols answer in the QB play. I don't know who is. Maybe Hooker was it all along & we're doomed to just always being mediocre to the GAs & Bamas & to the Gators. It always seems to be those teams beat us each year & to chalk them up as a loss each year B4 football season. They have better players & coaches every year & we try to match it w/our own way of doing things & it ain't working. The 2022 football team will never be better to me.
Now, KY & MO & SCe have had their chances to catch us in recruiting & they play us close & in tight games every year. KY is next on the road & you know they'll be waiting for us to play their best against us. Oh, well. Come on basketball season.

I knew there would be a drop off in offensive production this season but I was thinking more along the lines of scoring at least 30 points per game in conference play, not 20. This program really needs Nico to step up next year and take over.

Pretty crazy that Mike Norvell at FSU has gone from having his players protest against him and losing to Jacksonville State two years ago to becoming a CFP contender this year.
