I don’t think Tennessee will have to cut anything. They are going to start selling rights to corporate sponsors. We will be seeing corporate logos on the field of play and also jersey patches. Other schools may have to cut sports but Tennessee would be one of the last that will have to resort to that. What sports at Tennessee get discontinued when revenue sharing starts?
Only 2 sports make money Football and Men's basketball. Women's basketball lost $5 million and all others lost $37 million in 2023
If Randy Boyd runs revenue sharing as a business, like it should be Smaller tier sports will be cut.I don’t think Tennessee will have to cut anything. I think we are 100% headed towards stadium naming rights like basketball did. People may not like it but if you have to pay the players and also want to keep maintaining these facilities then they really have no other choice. Weigel’s might pony up for baseball. Pilot Flying J for football. Neyland is too big of a name to completely omit it publicly though. Probably will be named Pilot Flying J Field at Neyland Stadium. Going to suck to see the Shields-Watkins name go away but I don’t see another way around it.No sports make money besides Football and Men's basketball.
Never would want to see it happen but in future don't be surprised to see logos on football field.
Food City Logo on 35 yard line or dare I say rename the football and baseball fields.
I wanted them both to miss the NCAA.Neither one of them deserved to be in the tournament.
What sucks is the horrible ugly-ass tacky logos on the football and basketball playing surfaces won't benefit football and basketball. The money will all end up going to other sports. No sports make money besides Football and Men's basketball.
