Well I can understand the disappointment because I’m a Cubs fan that watched them unable to defend a 2-1 lead since the Rays succeeded with a fearless comeback in the 9th inning.
The Cubs continue to struggle in close games.

Currently relaxing at Icehouse mostly watching MLB games.

It’s a great night for the Yankees in Kansas City because they’re bulldozing the Royals 10-0.

It might be smooth sailing for the Pirates because they defeated the Cardinals in an entertaining low scoring game 2-1, and are now just 2 games under 500.
So the Pirates have a realistic chance in June of getting above 500.

Nice to have a storied franchise such as the Yankees and also be in the midst of the longest pennant drought in their entire history. They have been a joke my entire adult life 🤣

Y’all are better than the Cowboys though. At least y’all have won a championship this century 🤣

I didn’t see a single one. Hung out with the boy and hit some golf balls today. I already knew what was about to happen with one of the best teams in the majors. I didn’t want to subject him to that nonsense Snitker keeps trotting on the field. I’m in full protest mode whenever it comes to watching them. Just a waste of my time right now whenever I can be doing better things. I’ll check the box scores but I’m not watching another game this season unless they start making some high impact moves to address the Acuña and Strider injuries as well as making Chipper an offer he can’t refuse to make him full-time hitting coach. Call me fair weather all you want but this is a team that set all kinds of offensive records just last year and now all the sudden they ALL forgot how to hit? And the one guy that is actually doing anything Snitker wants to bat 5th in the lineup. It’s a freaking joke and completely unacceptable if you ask me.

At least the Cubs are within 7 games of the division. The Braves are closer to the Nationals and Mets in the standings than they are the Phillies. The Braves may have the 4th best record in the NL but they sure as heck are not the actual 4th best team. Nothing more than a mediocre middle of the road average major league team with probably the second best talent in the sport, even with the injuries.
