Yes….does he do any actual standup or is it just all ad lib with the crowd…I think the back and forth with the crowd is his schtickAnyone heard of the comedian Matt Rife? We’re at his show in Knoxville, comedians are among the only shows the wife gets excited about. I know nothing.

Does she like the comedy or the guy…hahaha…tell him you are the only one man enough to wear daddy coats around town!
He was hitting on this mom in the crowd and asked her some questions. Long story short the mom’s daughter was suppose to come but bailed. He asked the mom to call the daughter and give him the phone. It ended up going to voicemail so he left a message along the lines of “I’ve got your mother in the trunk, if you want her back send x amount of money.” and hung up the phone He is very quick witted, fast on his feet.I’m about to find out! It is supposed to be a stand up routine though, I think. She does like comedians, but I think she did mention the added bonus of him being cute in this case, fine with me.
The kid is talented at ad libbing with a crowd. And has an interesting personal story. Started at age 15. Not every comedian gets a one-on-one with Jordan Peterson.Anyone heard of the comedian Matt Rife? We’re at his show in Knoxville, comedians are among the only shows the wife gets excited about. The Red Sox were my team back in ‘06 when I lived in Boston. I watched them that whole season all the way through their World Series run and became fully invested. I was also fully invested in the Celtics but lost interest and eventually stopped following pro sports shortly after ‘08 when I moved back home. I’ve tried watching here and there, I just can’t really get into it anymore. College ball is it for me.Looking forward to the Phillies and Sox tonight.
Aaron Nola vs Tanner Houck.
That phrase was a bit Zen-ish.@BruisedOrange , you wrote
" keep investing in your parents' investment."
What do you mean by that specifically, because my parents have invested heavily in me, in Christ and in food banks. My mom is particularly good at investing in certain individuals in her community meaning neighbors and that's by getting involved their lives and being a consistent host who provides a safe, good, fun place for kids and their parents to visit frequently.
For example my friend Brian who just graduated, has for two years been an almost daily visitor at our house along with his mom and younger sister.
I mimic my mom's hosting and manners and how there is a fairly large group of people that meet up for dinner at one of the dining halls where we spend quality time together. On the weekends, I enjoy cooking, but I definitely don't have her capacity to feed 25 people. I cook some and get take out or things from the store that only require time in an oven.
I get a lot of what I call restorative satisfaction from helping other people on a one on one basis and I'm currently helping my girlfriend's neighbor and my buddy Brian for the next couple weeks just by hooking them up with good jobs that pay well while living in our condo for couple of weeks because they're both curious about living in Atlanta and life at GT in general.
