My two favorites were Teoscar and Ramirez. Teoscar is a very good power hitter. Ramirez could go down as the best modern-day Cleveland player whenever it’s all said and done. Hard to believe but he already has more AB’s as a Cleveland player than Jim Thome and Kenny Lofton.

He’s bounced around some. Started with the Astros, then the Blue Jays for several years, then Seattle last year, and now in LA. Outside of the Covid year, he has hit 25+ HR in 4 straight seasons, on his way to 5 this year.

OMG, do yourself a favor and watch the pre derby on YouTube.
The chick singing the anthem sounded like they plucked her out of the crowd, last minute and the guy announcing the derby contestants said they call Pete Alonso the polar bear because he’s as strong as a bear and “HES A BIG WHITE GUY!”

He said Gunnar Henderson looks like he plays lacrosse and if you can say his name, congratulations, you can speak English!

I was trying to see what he meant by "looks like a lacrosse player", because I played lacrosse.

I think this is an odd trophy for a home run derby champion because it's one guy that wins it, but there are two bats.
