Uh, huh. With only 6 seconds left. Nobody open to make a catch. It didn't matter where the ball went. Nico had to end up & eat the damn thing.
I love Nico but he should've just threw the ball and hoped for the best. It was going to be the last play of the game. Could've been a defensive PI in the End zone or just lucky catch , just don't run out of bounds to end the game. Like I said earlier it's growing pains for Nico, I just wish so many fans wouldn't have so many expectations for him.

Once again Nico is a RS Frosh was playing in his first true test of adversity. He will get better in those situations.

I don’t think he will get better in those situations. Either you have that “It Factor” of willing your team to victory or you don’t. Nico just doesn’t have it. It’s all front running for him.

TBD still just his 6th start and I don't count. Iowa. Chattanooga and Kent State as a challenge. That's why I say this OOC schedule needs to be better. It will get you ready for the mighty SEC as you all call it.

Just think of it this way . With the CFP playoff format teams will get a Mulligan, Tennessee just used theirs just can't lose to both Alabama and Georgia. 10-2 still gets you in. 9-3 Good luck.
Alabama and Georgia are the least of our worries. We still have to play Florida, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.

Any QB that runs out of bounds as time expires with the game on the line will never have that killer instinct. Those Californian and Hawaiian kids just don’t understand how much different football is in the South. They grow up playing pansies on that coast.

I see the BVS is kicking in for all forums today. So glad I never caught that dreaded disease.

Although if Tennessee loses to Florida next week I become a little skeptical, until then I refuse to believe Tennessee loses no more than one game.

Ride or die with Nico, you have nobody else. Gaston Moore can't handle the big boy teams and Merklinger is a true Frosh. Hey let's put Navy Shuler behind center that would be a blast.

Go ahead and buckle up for a bumpy ride because we aren’t beating Florida. BVS isn’t a real thing. Tennessee football choking is a real thing. We’ve actually witnessed our football program losing to at least 1 inferior opponent for the past quarter century. This isn’t baseball or basketball where you play a ton of games and 1 loss isn’t the end of world. This is a 12 game schedule and every single one of them matters. Call it BVS if you want but we aren’t finishing any better than 8-4 in the regular season.

Tennessee is 13-7 all-time vs Arkansas. Arkansas is currently on a 4 game winning streak and won 5 of 6 dating back to 2006. The average score in those 5 losses has been 29-14 and the Vols have failed to score more than 20 in any of them. In fact, outside of scoring 20 in the 2015 loss, Tennessee hasn’t scored more than 14 points in those other 4 losses.

Prior to 2006, Tennessee was 12-2 all-time vs Arkansas with an average score of 32-20 in all 14 games.

So in the past 18 years we’ve managed to have nearly a 4 touchdown swing in the wrong direction vs Arkansas. We have become Arkansas’ new whipping boy.

Casey Clausen was from Cali. Nobody could question his “killer instinct”

Chill out. There was Nowhere to go w/the ball. All receivers were covered. Nico had to eat it w/only 6 seconds on the clock when the play started.
Plus I think he realized he was past the line of scrimmage and tried to get OB. Honest mistake for a redshirt freshman. I’m still very high on Nico.
