And I responded nicely back that I will say what I want within reason…saying a player sucks at a sport is not a personal attack…it has nothing to do with them as a person…it just means they suck at a sport…hahaha…if you are that sensitive then I do not know what to tell you man..change your avatar though…Clint sides with me!I asked you nicely to show & have some decency on speaking about our players.
Friends and family members also frequent VolNation. Bashing players ruins their experience, or chases them away. I for one appreciate the perspectives of people close to the players. There are many that make The Dugout enjoyable. It sounds personal & offensive. I don't like a poster bashing our/any TN players.
You need to review the guidelines for the baseball forum. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. @OldTimerNah man….nothing personal but it’s a message board and you can say anything you want and so can I within reason. That is well within reason. Like I said many times…we all don’t have to agree on everything. I respect your opinions, but don’t have to agree with them. Same should go for me.
Casey Close with Excel Sports Management. He might still be represented by the company but I’m pretty sure I saw where he fired Close after those negotiations. That should tell you all you need to know. I’m sure Freddie really did want to retire as a Brave and told management as much. He is beloved by Braves fans and all of my friends don’t put one ounce of blame on him for all that. That emotion he showed in his first game back was 100% real and if everyone had it to do all over again I’m sure they would have made the deal long before it got to that point. Braves could have took it upon themselves and locked him up long term before he even made it to free agency but they drug their feet and what happened, happened.I completely agree, but I'll also say, if I were Freddy I would have made it clear to my agent and the Braves 2 years in advance that, "I want to retire a Brave, so I'm willing to make less and let's not take ANY chances and get the deal done ..... a year in advance!"
Freddy is from Cali and surprise, surprise, where did he land?
Is his agent Cashman?
Didn't look like he missed Atlanta at all now while holding that WS MVP trophy up high in the air. Plus his dad loves him playing in L.A.Casey Close with Excel Sports Management.
