Excellent post !

Thanks for sharing. I'd love for these people to do a weekly article on, "why we voted or agreed to the current 12 and how they are seeded".
The chairman talks to the media every week during the reveal show. He is a Michigan man though and allowed his program to benefit from sign stealing so I don’t trust a damn word that snake says.

I could watch Knecht shoot all day. Such a pretty shot.

Dalton's been raining 3s, it's kind of his thing.

So why he'd ever be left alone in the corner is just goofy and is some kind of proof that defense isn't played until the post season.

I love seeing him make the corner 3 or even better, my favorite shot to make is a step back 3 and Dalton is so good at those too, I wonder if that's his favorite shot too.

I still don’t like him because everyone knew he was cheating but did nothing about it because they had their own skeletons. Should have burned the whole system down while they had the chance. But whenever he talks, people seem to listen and he is SEC through and through. And you know Spurrier and Fulmer would fight for the SEC too. My hope is that Danny White will get the opportunity to be committee chairman one day. They supposedly alternate members every three years. So unfortunately there will never be any consistency with this thing.

This is another gem of a post.

Haha = one of the things I like about Kirby is in his last on-the-field, post game interview that I saw and it was obviously live, so the SEC and ESPN have to live with what a coach says in that moment ..... was when Kirby pretty much trolled the committee for that weeks latest post season picks.

They have done some things to help incentivize playing harder in the regular season, like right now they are doing an in-season tournament where players on the winning and losing team in the championship make over $500k and $200k, respectively. Still, the intensity is not the same as the playoffs. Once they started fully guaranteed contracts it pretty much went downhill. Is going downhill before then but that pushed it further.

haha, laughing at myself - I didn't know there was a show about post season bracket.

So I obviously didn't know that guy was involved.

Rant: I think Michigan got of scott free so far for that cheating junk and should get as a MINIMUM years worth scholarships lost. This past weekend's McMahon brother's bs? I don't like either one of them with a special dislike for the rams brother from Michigan that went out west.

And he was immediately proven right whenever Alabama and Ole Miss went on the road and lost. It’s hard to win on the road in any sport but for the SEC in particular it’s extremely difficult. The fact that the committee jumped Alabama over Miami but left Georgia and Ole Miss behind them was probably the most head scratching thing I’ve seen them do. The voting is never consistent and whenever they try to defend their voting they dismiss their own criteria and say things like “well they just really pass the eye test”. Like WTF is that? You can’t even quantify that. It’s completely subjective lol

So far they have made Stalions the scapegoat. But Jim McElwain resigned out of the blue. He was the Central Michigan head coach whenever Stalions was caught on their sideline using one of those pairs of smart glasses with a built-in camera. And apparently Michigan’s current head coach has several text messages with Stalions regarding the sign stealing system. But as we have seen before, the NCAA will drag their feet and nothing will be done about it. The one time they are needed to help enforce game integrity they are nowhere to be found. They allowed a program to make multiple playoffs using this system and ended up winning a national championship. It’s a huge black eye for college football imo.

Guaranteed money is what makes me like college sports more than pro sports. Aaron Rodger would have taken care of his body much, much more if he wasn't under a guaranteed contract.

The whole idea of players not playing in preseason games and that they're going to play themselves into shape is a big reason why there are so many injuries.

Then... There is Tom Brady who took off no more than two weeks whether he won the Super Bowl or not. Good for him, even though he was def part of deflate gate.

I have similar thoughts about Kevin Durante, Kobe, Jordan, Pippen and a few others.

Yeah there are some exceptions to the rule but the vast majority of athletes aren’t going to put in the same type of work in the offseason whenever their contract is fully guaranteed. I am of the mindset that all sports contracts should have a minimum base salary across the board with a lot of incentives baked in. If you are seriously injured then there can be some adjustments made but it still wouldn’t be a fully guaranteed payment. It is just human instinct to not try as hard if you already know you are getting the reward regardless of your production. It’s sad to see, you watch old highlights of the great players and every single one of them busted their butts. Maybe they took plays off, maybe they didn’t. I don’t know because social media wasn’t around back then. Take Lebron James for instance, he is supposed to be the leader but there are 10 minute videos on YouTube of him making boneheaded, nonchalant plays that would drive any coach up the walls. It’s maddening sometimes to watch these supremely talented individuals make elementary decisions.

Stop the presses: Rutgers basketball is legit this season. Giving Alabama all they can handle. They have two kids that will probably end up being 1st round picks. One is averaging 23ppg and the other 17ppg. That will be a team that nobody will want to play come tournament time. Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey. Remember those names.

I am glad they got caught, most people are. What blows my mind is that people still attempt to commit crimes and get away with cheating.

I like this post, but dozed off while talking to my roommate about it on our couch, so I'm going to go to bed now and get back to it in morning. 🦃🎄
