It wasn’t all you can eat, but my Dad liked Piccadilly Cafeteria. We used to go every Sunday after church. I would either have roast beef or fried chicken. Always good.
They still have a real good old fashioned cafeteria style place called MCL, it’s mostly in Indiana but they have a couple locations in central Ohio. My dad claims they have the best fried chicken.

Thanks. There are several Amish places around that have buffets that all claim to have the best fried chicken.
We found one that had the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. They have frozen ones you can buy in their bakery but they sell out fast.

Any restaurant that has Liver&Onions is a top notch place imo..

How come I'm just now finding out this little gem?

Almost always order L&O if on the menu.
Here's one for you. Are you sitting down?

One of the few foods I occasionally crave is liver and onions.

I don't know of another soul anywhere near my age that will eat it.

After I eat it I feel pretty freaking awesome for a few weeks.
It's supposed to support or be a very healthy thing for people to eat and is great for our thyroid and metabolism over all.

My dad will once in a while force himself to eat some - hates every bite of it and then raves about how great he feels the next couple of days.

Anyway, I thought you guys might get a laugh out me being an advocate of good ol' liver and onions .... and now, of course, I'm craving it.

Thank you very much for this. I've never tried to make it, but I will now.
NGL, Part of my love of cooking is that I like to cook for my roommates or other people and they won't eat it, but I'm going to do it anyway assuming Kroger or Publix or Harrys or whoever sells the liver.

May need to check with the butcher for calves’ liver. It’s been decades since I bought it.
