Honestly, based on that Oklahoma game, I might take Miami on a neutral field. It would be a shootout and that favors Miami imo. I also think Ole Miss and South Carolina would beat Alabama on a neutral field. It’s annoying that Bama is likely in the playoff, but if you were forced at gunpoint to wager your life savings on a Bama-Miami matchup, who would you take? I like that the playoff expanded, but sadly it gives Bama a decent chance of making it as long as they don’t have 4 or more losses.

…that brand. That mullet A has staying power. This isn’t the Nick Saban Alabama teams. They are not to be feared. Saban would have finished no worse than 11-1 with that team. They were the weakest option of the 9-3 teams imo but I just knew how the committee was going to vote. It will be a cold day in Hell whenever Alabama is voluntarily left out of the playoff.
Alabama went 1-3 on the road in the SEC. I just wouldn’t trust them against a formidable QB like Cam Ward. I think he would tear them apart. It’s basically a toss up of a game because Alabama does still have talent, but I would lean towards Miami because I trust Ward more than I do Milroe.Yeah, I wouldn’t want to play USCjr, but the committee definitely doesn’t have the cojones to put them over a Bama team they lost to. As for Miami, they didn’t play anyone and still lost twice. What’s their best win, Florida? (Early in the season when they were terrible), Louisville? Virginia Tech?

I know it’s hard to win on the road in the SEC but Vanderbilt? Come on. You can’t lose to a team that seats less than 30k people whenever you are the number 1 team in the country. People can prop that team up all they want and try to make it sound like a quality loss but the fact is that Alabama went into Nashville as the number 1 team the week after beating Georgia and made Vanderbilt a bowl eligible team as a 25 point favorite . I didn’t see anyone propping Arkansas up after we lost to them. Vanderbilt and Arkansas were basically the same team this year. But all because Alabama loses to them, they are a good team? We beat that team by 13 on the road and it wasn’t really even that close if you factor in the kickoff return to start the game. Take out one crazy special teams play and we win by 3 touchdowns. That was not a good team. Texas should be ashamed of that 3 point win too. That wasn’t anything to get excited about. And then to top it off, Alabama made Oklahoma bowl eligible too with the SEC Championship on the line. They made not one, but two teams bowl eligible
I cropped this a few different ways for anyone wanting to use this as their avatar.
