If you think the Braves letting Freddie and Fried walk was bad whenever both players didn’t REALLY want to leave, wait until Acuña’s contract is up and he goes to NY to play with his brother. Acuña has no allegiance to the organization. Yeah they gave him his start but that could have been anyone. He was going to be a star no matter what. Braves are teetering on spinning towards becoming a dumpster fire if they don’t watch out.

The Contreras trade will forever be a stain on his résumé. Made no sense at the time, for a marginal upgrade at best. Now we have a catcher that can’t stay healthy and whenever he is healthy he has forgotten how to hit.
