i'd say the handwriting started appearing on the wall in the loss to arkansas in the 07-08 SEC tourney. the pathetic, disappointing tourney play (with the PG fiasco) secretly foreshadowed the beginning of the end.

today put the period on the sentence.

Bruce brought the program back to life with his passion and energy. Now we need a real coach to take us to the promise land.

he will probably last another season or two. but it is clearly written... Bruce Pearl cannot take us to Elite Status. Bruce Pearl is not enough of a COACH to take us to the promise land.

Just wondering........has T Harris already signed his LOI or may he pull a Selby on us if things don't get better? Not trying to start an argument, just getting a little concerned.

I would like you to name one person who is a better coach that would be more successful here?

there was no excuse for the way the team played. We shouldn't even be ranked next week. Who besides CBP thinks Tyler Smith is going to play in the NBA?

I think this may be jumping the gun a little on firing Bruce. If he doesn't produce a quality product on the court by the end of the year, then freak out. So far, he hasn't.

From what I seen today, I think me or you could get this team straight. And I dont know squat about X's & O's. This was an over rated team playing an under rated team. Karma is a biatch.

i think sean miller and brad stevens are both better coaches than pearl.... just to name two off the top of my head.

we don't have a coach. pearl is not a coach. look at the way his teams play... he can't coach players. he is a a promotional gimmick. he cannot coach. i would never come here if i was a serious baller hoping to get in the NBA. tyler had a better chance after his sophomore year. 2 more years under pearls pathetic "guide" has cost him a future as a pro. pearl is not a coach.

I don't think that it is the end of the Pearl era but he better get a fire going or this team will struggle to make the Dance.

We have the talent to do some good things this year, Pearl has to do a better job of coaching though, if he continues to let this team make poor decisions, it will cost him his job.

I never thought he could play in the NBA, actually there is not a player on our roster who is NBA material.

Why not? We have the money, we have the facilities. We are not a laughing stock anymore. We could get a very good coach to come here.

Hopefully it won't be necessary.

Come on. Pearl isn't the reason that Tyler might not be a NBAer. NBA prospects can come here and go on to the NBA. Hell, Dean Smith never let a player showcase his talents and the league was full of his guys.
