The guys play in a bogus offense...it would be very interesting to see what Tyler/Scotty/Wayne could do in an offense that player to their strengths.

Our name is out there with the big boys now, maybe not as a National Title contender, but people recognize UT basketball now. We can lure a good coach here to get us over this plateau.

This thread is definitely an overreaction. Pearl isn't going anywhere anytime soon, nor should he.

But acting like no one else could coach here is just as silly.

I have to say I agree with you. They play with with no heart or effort.I would probably play some of the younger guys cause the seniors play uninspired to say the least.

No doubt about it...we are not even close to being an elite program, but you could argue that over the last 4 years we have been a top 15 program, Pearl got us here, it seems as though he has topped out, we can't seem to progress any further.

I just don't think it's Bruce's fault,not all of it anyway.

I hate losing just as much as the next guy but think about all the things the guy has done and will continue to do.

Things are tough right now because we don't have a PG to run the system,but things will get better.

What bothers me about this team is this, CBP has recruited all these guys and he has no point guard, cant play defense, and have guys that cant shoot (maze, swiper boy, tatum, and prince). Hopson is as streaky as it gets. CBP has put together a team that cant score and play defense. They are athletic but all are support players not the go to guys. I think his recruiting needs to be questioned not his coaching at the is point in the season.

WTF? yeah Dean had guys regressing all over the place. guys would come out of high school and choke like hell under his tutelage. are you fn drunk?

tyler has regressed folks. he looks so pedestrian it hurts. pearl has not one Fn clue how to create a way for the best player on his team to flurish. Fn Chism fires up 3's with the game on the line while tyler and scotty watch in agony. damn it... you MAKE your Fn players play smart... for us that means everything goes through tyler smith and scotty hopson. instead we have playground ball.... its called NO COACHING.

His system is a gimmick, you play that way when you have inferior talent. We could have a deadly offense if he would just play to their strengths. a legit deadly, not relying on the other team to hand you the ball under their own basket.
