The Endzone Garden Thread

Trash talking Canadians is at its peak leading up to, during, and shortly after the Winter Olympics. It’s intertwined with hockey. “Canada needs to be swept.”
Oh, ok. Got it.

I’ve now been awake for 27 hours, so the old brain cells aren’t sparking at their best.

was over at mom and dads a bit ago and saw some jonquils had popped up and had little yellow buds on them

transplanted some of them here last year but haven't come up yet

Nine weeks, umpteen seeds, and only three pepper plants and one fresh sprout. Unlucky in peppers this winter.

I won’t even try to transplant them until mid-May, so I think I’ve got them scheduled to start seed 3/12 or 3/19.

Do you use a heat mat when you start seeds?

I planted seeds in 96 cells, average 4 seeds per cell, with a few of the cell modules where I just scattered them in. Some of the seeds were smaller than flea doots. I’m cross-eyed from trying to see what I was doing.

No. This year, peat cups with seed starter in a tray in front of full winter sun window. My hope is to have them in ground later half of March (after last freeze) or mid-April at the latest.

Jealous of your winter sun window! Our house is almost exactly 45 degrees off north-east-south-orientation, so I would have to chase the sun around from window to window, room to room, for sunlight to be enough. (Also deep overhanging eaves, as is typical for 1920’s Craftsman houses.)
