The Endzone Garden Thread

Got several squash/zucchini and pulled up the plants (and all those trailing nasturtiums that took TF over haha) to give the volunteer tomatoes some attention.
The seeds dropped from a hybrid husky cherry red or a better boy bush, no clue what these are yet (lookin like cherry tomato clusters). Bottom leaves were in bad shape, so had to give #1 a major haircut. And you can see the dill and cilantro doesn't stop coming.
First two pics are the volunteers, still have to stake one of em.

Far side of the garage in general looks like this. Things coming along.

Second garden, better late than never, I guess. First garden was peas, spinach, and lettuce that lasted a lot longer than I expected.

And yes, that is wheat sprouting among the corn. I planted some crimson clover under the corn, and then put down the straw. I saw the clover sprouting, and then its leaves started looking like grass, and it took me several days to figure it out. I keep pulling, and it keeps growing.

‘Fraid so. The tenants here before we moved in planted it, and it’s EVERYWHERE.
It's difficult to get rid of it. Anything in that mint family with that root system is a constant battle.

Edit: except of course bee balm, which my daughter managed to eliminate hahahahaha

Sugar snaps are supposed to be round! Or plump or something. Snow peas are flat though.

I planted sugar snaps on one side of the trellis (out of the picture) and garden peas/ English peas - you know, just peas - on the other, and then my biology professor gave me leftover snaps and snows from their plant sale, and it all went to hayull. 🤪 They wer good, though, until the June heat got them. I’ll replant in August, see how far I get.

I’m always amazed when I see lemon balm for sale. Also lambs’ ears, which I loathe and is like a weed around here.

But then, I went out and bought purple coneflower and black-eyed Susan, when it’s taking over the front yard, so no room to throw stones here!

when lambs ears germinate they look a little like volunteer sage
then there's always that naaaaaaaah moment hahahaha
Edit: I wish I had space to simply let the four-o-clocks take over. They reseed freely, but they take up so much space.

I prefer the trailing nasturtium.
Do you cut out the bottom of your buckets?
