Bit disappointed in this now.

The aliens can create a poison to kill the president, create portals to teleport two billion people trillions of miles, basically kill people and bring them back to life, but are requiring on the Spanish flu virus to kill mankind?

They've still never answered how Sean figured out Michael was trying to kill the president or how Thomas knew it was about to happen and had the portal ready (as it apparently takes time to set up).

Lots of other stuff too.

I'll stick it out because I've watched this far, but we've reached the "we've got X amount of episodes left and we're just going to finish it" phase now.

not sure this one is going to make it too far. It was a nice idea just never cared about anyone on there

At the end of the show last night they advertised "only 4 episodes left" which makes me think it's a one year deal.

I'll be interested to see if they leave an opening for a season 2.

Looks like the President ( the ill one) might just get a reprieve of his death. Shawn's love triangle which I don't think he knows about might get interesting. Sofia has gone of the deep end.

Still no word if renewed for next year.

Currently -

Aliens are going to kill man with Spanish flu, which they are immune to (clever in retrospect). They are testing it on Leila since she is a hybrid.

Sean and Vicki are trying to stop them. Vicki is falling for Sean.

Martinez is in a coma caused by alien drugs. Jarvis drugged him. Jarivs is an incometent weasel d-bag who for some reason I can't help but think is Based on Biden (sorry, had to offer an opinion there). Sophia has him by the nads.

Sterling and Simon got the drug to cure Martinez to his wife and she injected it as show's end.

That sum it up?

I like where this is heading. No way to wrap this up with only 2 episodes left this season, so I really hope that NBC finds a way to return this series in the fall...

How about his for a way to wrap it up? The aliens are immune to the virus. Leila has been infected with the virus so that it works slower on humans. Instead, it has the opposite effect and causes the virus to affect the aliens. All the aliens die from the virus. War of the Worlds.

Well the show actually has a little life now. It's reportedly being shopped around and Netflix seems to have some interest in picking it up. We'll see what happens......

I'll be very interested to see how the go about this next week and how much conclusion they give it. IMO, it's gotten remarkebly better the last month.

Very sad they took until the next to last episode to go deeper into the writings and other background stuff.
