I hate fantasy football. 2nd in my league in points, and about to be 5-6 and in 8th place if this McCoy TD stands.
And 150 yards in the past month, which oddly coincides with Adams being back.
Also quite coincidental that after Davante catches just more than 50% of his 32 targets over a 2 week span, Rodgers throws the ball to Jones 11 times. That's now Jones' 3rd time this season getting more yardage than Davante's highest yardage output. Oh, and Davante's only catch in the endzone all year was a 2 point conversion.
Lol. More invented narratives. It could also have something to do with the fact that Adams tweaked his ankle during the game and couldn't get separation, but I'm assuming you already knew that as someone who watches every game.
While you're on a roll: what percentage of his targets has James Jones caught this year, compared to Adams?
Id go
Hillman, Ware, Allen, Bradshaw, Funchess, Wilson.
They're pretty close in percentage.
James Jones is arguably Green Bay's key to success. He's gotten a touchdown in 6 of the Packers' 7 wins. He got no touchdowns in the 3-game losing streak (10 total targets).
As for the tweaked ankle during the game...I just checked. Jones had 5 targets on Green Bay's first possession. Adams had 2 targets on that possession. They clearly went into the game with the intent of getting more looks at Jones.
I got Hillman immediately, though Denver's running game has been fairly inconsistent. Second best team immediately got Ware and Allen.
Kind of want to get Funchess but I can't figure out who to drop:
QB - Dalton, Tyrod Taylor
WR - ODB, Cooper, Martavis, Hurns, Lafell
TE - Kelce, Barnidge
K - Gostkowski
DEF - SEA
I guess I'm thinking Lafell or Taylor?
In games Adams has finished (basically, games where both have been healthy, even though Adams got hurt and came back in in two of these):
6 games
Adams: 51 targets, 30 catches, 308 yards
Jones: 28 targets, 14 catches, 248 yards
Yes, that's roughly 2 catches per game for Jones, but guys...Rodgers trusts him way more.
3rd down stats on the season:
James Jones: 12/14 for 229 yards and 2 TDs (10 of 12 receptions went for 1st downs)
Davante Adams: 4/12 for 51 yards and 0 TDs (all 4 receptions went for 1st downs)
I'm sure it's just an anomaly, though.
In games both have actually played start-to-finish without Adams tweaking his ankle:
4 games
Adams: 42 targets, 22 catches, 239 yards
Jones: 14 targets, 7 catches, 110 yards
It's all about trust, guys.
You're saying he threw to Adams as much in 4-6 games as he did to Jones in 10?
#trust
I don't think id drop any of them for Funchess.
LaFell looked headed for an ugly night, as he was playing behind all three of Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson, and Chris Harper early on. At halftime, he'd played just 14 snaps. But Dobson went down with an ankle injury midway through the game, and LaFell played the final 46 snaps. He still didn't do a whole lot with them and may be falling out of favor a bit. Lucky for LaFell, both Amendola (knee) and Dobson (ankle) were injured. He'll be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3 next week on the road against the Broncos' league-best secondary.

LaFell is starting to concern me. He seems like he should have been performing better than he has been the last two games.
Here was his last write-up:
I'm also getting concerned with Tyrod's production - especially when I have Dalton and Romo's available again - his numbers have been gradually been going down since that hamstring/knee injury in October.
