Id rather have Draughn. Running backs are harder to come by this late in the season. Baldwin just isn't consistent enough, imo, to start.

It's partially more for depth in case...and somewhat a don't want a team I might play in the playoffs to get a guy if this production keeps up.

Draughn (and White) are also still available, but who would you recommend dropping for either?

....

Eagles coach Chip Kelly says he plans to evaluate his running back rotation on a "week-to-week basis" going forward.
Advice: In other words, DeMarco Murray is no longer the locked-in starter. Murray got out-carried by both Darren Sproles and Kenjon Barner in Sunday's upset of the Patriots. Murray just isn't a fit for Kelly's offense, and it's been evident for months. Kelly is waving the white flag while the Eagles still have time to win the NFC East. There will probably still be some weeks where Murray gets 15-20 touches, but considering the way Week 13 went down, he can't be considered a legitimate RB2 for Sunday's game against the Bills.

So earlier this year I complained about a league I was in... The commish changed league settings right before the draft and didn't tell anyone. I was pissed but figured it's a long season and I'll beat him and have the last laugh. Fast forward to tonight, and I'm in 3rd and he's in 4th. I have McFadden and am 9 points behind the guy I'm playing. If I win I get the 3 seed and play the team in 6th - probably the best team in the league right now. I benched McFadden so instead I drop to 4th so I can play the 5th place team - who sucks - and he's left playing the 6 seed.

The commish went ape****. He sent a long message to the league publicly shaming me. Pretty rich considering it's coming from the guy who changes league setting right before the draft.

Given the bull**** pretenses of this league - big deal or no?

I'm a proponent of always trying to win. I've heard of leagues that disqualify people frim the playoffs for stuff like that.

How did he change the settings? I'd probably call him out on that.

He's being a crybaby. I've been a commissioner for close to a decade, and I pretty much let people do whatever the hell they want short of blatantly collusive trades. Positioning for the playoffs is part of the deal

I know his offense makes him the most likely to actually score, but his numbers dwindling plus New England's offensive injuries starting to slow their offense down right before the playoffs have me a bit concerned. He's not putting up those 19-15 point games anymore, slowing down to 9,11, 8,7, and most recently 4 (with that 11 coming mostly from that last second 50 yarder against the Giants). Since it's only a 10-team league, it's not like there aren't several other good kickers available right now (Prater, Boswell, and up until last week J. Myers).

But that wasn't really the point with dropping him...as much as he's a "always ranked near the top" kicker, he's also a kicker...I don't have to worry as much about a someone pulling him off rolling waivers, and it might also give me some time to hold onto another player to make a decision...it was more that.

Yeah, that was how I thought about it too, but you'd still need a kicker this weekend and he's the best one. I couldn't see what you'd really gain by getting that few extra days that would offset a potential downgrade at kicker. But, now that I think about it, if you can drop him and find a way to pull a 2-for-1 trade in the next few days, it could be worth it. Depends on how active your league is where trades are concerned.

The rest of my roster right now looks like:

QB - Dalton, Taylor
RB - Ingram, Freeman, Hillman, Anderson, Demarco Murray
WR - Hurns would be the only one I might consider dropping, though he's been a WR2 level guy all year
TE - Kelce, Barnidge
K - Gostkowski
D - Sea

I would have normally just gone with getting rid of Hillman but with the uncertainty about how bad Anderson's ankle injury might be (word might not come until Wed), I'm not sure whether that's the way to go

Apparently Anderson said his injury isn't that serious and writers are saying he may have been kept out as a precaution.

I bolded the guys I'd consider, but I'm going to blatantly contradict myself and say I'd probably keep Hurns because of his consistent production. I'm not a big Barnidge fan, but the same probably applies to him.

So Kelce, Hillman, Murray, Baldwin, Draughn (over White IMO, because White's lack of carries makes him more unpredictable Vereenish than reliable like Lewis). I really like Kelce, but only if you're actually going to start him because I think two TEs might be unnecessary. The other guys are based on more of a gut feeling on who wins the Broncos' and Eagles' starting job and whether Baldwin keeps this up (I'd feel better if he were getting more targets and not just scoring an unsustainable amount of TDs). I think Anderson is better than Hillman, and honestly, that Ryan Mathews is better than Murray. Given your concern about RB depth, I probably drop Hillman and get Draughn.

Long-winded way of saying I think Ben is right :)

He added an extra starting WR spot. The league has been playing with the same setting since it started and he changed it an hour before the draft then went straight WRs knowing the scarcity. Later we noticed he changed some scoring too. Not to mention lopsided trades he gets out of his friends. We had one guy drop deangelo so his son in law could pick him up with the first waiver spot. With all the ****ty stuff that's gone on, I figure trying to drop a spot in the playoffs is pretty tame comparitively

In that case, drop your game. Unless you believe in karma lol.

Adding positions and blatantly taking advantage is bad enough. If he changed scoring after the draft started, he can't say a damn thing and shouldn't be a commissioner. That's BS. The son-in-law thing is terrible too. I have no idea why the hell he's mad at you of all people lol

Well - just for note, not necessarily to push it - I mean I don't necessarily need a kicker this weekend. I'm locked into the 1 seed and playing a 6-7 team that's 3 spots in the standings out of the final playoff spot.

Sorry if that didn't help at all lol

I'd also consider adding Shaun Draughn or James White, if that effects anything.

I kind of feel like I should hold onto Kelce, if only because Barnidge's production has really seemed to fluctuate with the upcoming Cleveland QB (...if McCown weren't out for the year, I likely would have just stuck with Barnidge).

But there's also a chance I should consider it along the lines that TEs like GB's Rodgers are still available and maybe no one would probably use their waiver spot on a TE?

(edit: looks like you typed more before I replied.)

Yeah I forgot about the RBs at first and basically changed everything hoping no one would notice, haha.

I thought the playoffs started this week. If they don't, feel free to drop the kicker.

I feel like I've changed my mind 10 times, because I have, but based on what I know now about your position and team needs, I'd drop 1) Gostkowski or 2) Hillman for Draughn, leave Baldwin alone, and give Murray one more week to see how the backfield in Philly shakes out.

You think White should just be left be?

Only because he now has to play the #6 team. If it were someone else who I was switching spots with he wouldn't care.

Compared to Draughn, I think he's more likely to get 20 but also more likely to get 0. He never gets carries, so he's more unpredictable (Vereen) than dependable (Lewis). Depends on risk tolerance, but with an otherwise really strong team, if I have to start one I'm starting the one I know will get touches and won't completely kill me with 4 touches for 8 yards.

But dropping Gostkowski AND Hillman to get both Draughn and White...hmm. I think I'd keep Hillman for the same certainty-of-touches reasons, but it's close.

Sorry I'm slow today, exams have me out of it

No problem.

I kind of think I'd also be good at kicker just because the Pit kicker is still out there also.

And just like that, in the last minute of this game both of the team I would rather play are eliminated and next week's really just a matter of who's 3rd and who's 4th.

How anticlimactic.

#2 in the playoffs, woot! My other players have gotten me through, but I need to grab up a different QB. Luck has just been chilling out on my bench and I had picked up Carr in the meantime. I don't want to play him this week at Denver. I'm leaning towards Winston v. No Orleans or Fitzpatrick v. Tenn

I've started Ryan all year. And now I'm thinking about cutting him. I already picked up Tyrod Taylor for this week and am eyeing Hoyer for wk16 @Ten. I'm debating about picking him up now to start next week @Indy too, or if I should hang on to Ryan for another week and play him @Jax.

Taylor - @Phi, @Was, Dal
Ryan - @Car, @Jax, Car
Hoyer - NE, @Ind, @Ten
Fitzpatrick - Ten, @Dal, NE
