The Everything Fantasy Football Thread

I know what it entails therefore I hate it. Same with ppr, I think it is ridic you get a point for catching a pass, therefore I'm not going to be in one.
I'd venture to say 95% of leagues (or at least the vast majority) are PPR

PPR adds a whole nother dimension to FF. Players that wouldnt even be rostered in 90% of leagues suddeny become valuable starters. It also means more points and more points is always good.

Meh, I don't agree. A point is ten yards. Catching a pass does not equate to that in my mind. Now both my leagues have shifted to .1 for every yard which I do like, more representative. Of course I lost in the semis last year by one yard lol.

Seeing Henry over Kamara now in a lot of rankings. Makes me feel a little better when I take him at #4. I have #2 in my other league trying to trade back to #4 or #5 in that one. Barkley is a stud but that schedule is brutal and coming back round 2 and 3 is ugly.

In a keeper league. Have Calvin Ridley and Darren Waller as 2 of my 3. Deciding between Deebo and Devin Singletary for my third keeper. DS would count as a 4th rd pick. Deebo would be 14th. Feels like a no-brainer b/c Deebo would have such great value, but it would also be nice to have an RB in the fold. Deebo or Devin?

Deebo is out for a while too with foot surgery. Moss will get a lot of touches in Buffalo though. Keeper league I'd still lean Deebo at that cost.

Give me Saquon IMO, he's the best player and I very strongly advise against preseason schedule analysis. Defenses vary wildly year to year.

Between Henry and AK I'd take Kamara, but it's close

I'd keep Deebo too

I honestly don't even think it's the majority, I would say most do standard (and most online ranks are for standard leagues, not PPR), but I was trying to accommodate your "95%" somewhat haha
All 6 I played in last year were PPR. I’m only the commissioner in one.

PPR came around because fantasy used to be all about the 300-carry workhorse RBs, like Shaun Alexander scoring 27 TDs, and people wanted WRs to get a boost so they'd have value too.

Then the league transformed, those workhorses largely disappeared and WRs started putting up 1800 yards a year, to the point where IMO PPR now makes things less balanced, not more.

Why AK over Henry may I ask? Henry is the offense, will get way more touches and is a beast. AK sadly is injury prone and will never top 20 touches in a game. I like AK but Henry just seems the higher floor and higher ceiling to me.

IMO Kamara's floor is higher because he can impact a game in more different ways, whereas if Henry has 15 carries for 40 yards you're just hoping he scores. I guess I also just don't think he's going to run for 1500 yards again, especially with a third-rounder to spell him a little, but that's just me. The injury point is a good one though

I can see both sides. I'm picking 4th in both leagues now so I have to decide between the two, I'm definitely torn lol.
