The Everything Fantasy Football Thread

Are there 4 people in your league? Miller isn't bad, but I'm a big proponent of Marty B

nope, it's 10, i just play with a bunch of people who know little to nothing about fantasy football :eek:lol:

2/3rd's of the league are either highschoolers, or girls with little ff knowledge.

it's our work league. i work at a movie theater, hence why half the people participating are highschoolers. still wasn't expecting the draft to be as ridiculous as it ended up being though lol

ok so...Cooper is never going to play for you. Move him. Peace. LeSean is apparently hurt again today. He's never going to be what he was once, and frankly he's going to lose carries to Tyrod, among others. Unlike Vick, Tyrod doesn't know how to get Shady the ball all the time and still manage to get his own as well. I'd take it and cross my fingers that Murray stays healthy. I don't think one is way better than the other, but Marty B is an upgrade.

pretty much my thoughts.

would have been a slightly more tougher had lesean not suddenly go "questionable" today, but that pretty much seals the deal. dude is never going to be the same. plus, foster's rehab has been going great (almost a little too good to be true lol). if he can be healthy too, i'll still be solid at rb regardless of what murray/mccoy do.

thanks bud

In my other league, I got Foster in the 13th cause the draft was so long ago that Foster may have opened on the PUP. Now he's probably going next week. The super early draft helped and hurt me, because I got Arian super late, but also had Jordy as a 5th round keeper

I found out Khiry was available, i picked him up. Less carries but i think he'll do something against Jax.

I wouldn't count on Khiry. His projection points have skyrocketed because the projectors suddenly gave Spiller an "Out" tag. Spiller will play, so Khiry won't be anything.

On a side note, though, is Green Bay's WR Davante Adams worth picking up? The guy who had him dropped him for James Jones.

Who are you thinking about dropping for him? FWIW he had double the targets 8-4 that Jones had last week, Jones just happened to do more with his, I doubt he will continue that. Adams is clearly the better WR IMO

I don't know.

I've currently got

QB - Romo, Stafford
RB - D. Murray, M. Ingram, CJ Anderson, Tevin Coleman
WR - Odell Beckam, Jordan Matthews, Amari Cooper, Andre Johnson, Martavis Bryant
TE - Travis Kelce, Jason Witten
K - Gostkowski
DEF - SEA

I guess I could drop Stafford.
Possibly drop Bryant (because no one's likely to waste a waiver on him until his suspension's over).
Could drop Witten (though I am somewhat concerned about where Kelce's production might end up in the long run).

Or just drop Gostkowski for a bit (I may switch to DEN's kicker...I like having longer range kickers).

I also just feel - for a 10-team league - my WR3 position needs to be better/needs a bit of polish. (I'm currently #2 in the waiver order so I'd be using that as well.)

Honestly I think everyone dropping Adams is knee jerking a lot, I would pick him up. If you drop Stafford or M Bryant they will still probably be sitting there in 2 weeks. I'm not high on Andre Johnson personally.

as a Packers fan, I can safely say that in a PPR league, Adams will normally do better than Jones. In a regular league, Jones will most likely even things out with Adams because Adams won't see the endzone plays that Jones will see. Rodgers is so comfortable with Jones and Adams will have to work up to that respect. Jones and Rodgers were together for years, whereas this is only the start of Adams' second season. So if you're getting a point every time, then you're probably looking at 7ish catches and 60-80 yards every week from Adams. But I wouldn't expect much endzone action.

You won't play Bryant before the other dude gets back. Pick up Adams. You could try to move Bryant to the guy who has Dez and needs protection for a few weeks, and Bryant would offer that.

I'm not either. I probably was a bit overwhelmed on draft day (putting it together and entering the keepers came down to the day before the season started, the draft was an hour after I had finished entering everything, and I had to draft for two other teams...as well as guide my girlfriend through her fantasy football draft), and just jumped on Andre Johnson and Amari Cooper....still kicking myself that I didn't have the time to do proper research and take Keenan Allen first instead.

It really looks like the only other options out there at WR at the moment are Funchess, Brian Quick, Wheaton, Randle, Baldwin, and Harvin.

Regular league, non-PPR, though.

Unfortunately, the guy who has Dez is one of the other teams I have to partially manage / watch over until we get a new long-term owner. So even though I'm the commish, I don't think I could get any trades with myself to really go through without a lot of conflict haha.

I think most people thought Luck would fix him not being able to get separation. I skipped Allen in a few leagues because he burnt me so bad last year, I'm regretting that decision too. I did just pick up Quick, to stash a couple weeks and see what happens with him, but I'm pretty stacked at WR in the leagues I did it in. If I was you I would pick up Adams, he's a better 3 than the guys you have right now. Though Cooper might be in a few weeks.

I think Cooper's more of a longer term thing. Like either late in the year or possibly for the next season.

Part of picking him was mostly memories of having passed on the likes of AJ Green his rookie season because I was then-set at WR and really needed running back help.
