The Flash (CW)

Great to see that gorilla grodd will be appearing although I don't think he's gained sentience yet.

Never would have guessed that to be his large secret.
Quite a damn different plastique as this one was serving the government defusing bombs, she becomes the human bomb with a power somewhat similar to rogue, and she was a good character.

Vastly different from her comic boon counterpart and how she was depicted on smallville where undeniably she was a bad or negative character.

My bad, I've since put that in a spoiler now. That is from wiki though and not the show so maybe they don't even go down that route.

You're wrong get Coug. You're just wrong.

What?

You all can't be serious about a gorilla. This isn't planet of the Apes.

Until you read a story featuring Grodd I suggest you reserve judgement.

FYI Grodd predates Planet of the Apes.

See the rest of flash arrow crossover in tonight's episode of arrow that will have captain boomerang.

They manage to make rainbow raider not lame that his comic book counterpart is by giving him the power to look into a person's eyes which changes them into a very aggressive destructive person.
In the comic books he's color blind, so that's his motivation to steal paintings, and other pieces of art so no one else can enjoy or appreciate works of art. It may be the lamest motive for a super villain I've ever heard.
Basically the same thing as the black alien symboite of spider man comics.

Firestorm was shown at the end with human torch esque style powers he looks great but still I'm hoping he does get the trademark costume and doesn't remain in street clothes.

Great episode. Loved the appearance at the end by Ollie's former gf. Great continuity tie in. Looking forward to the development of Firestorm.

I thought he totally sold that. Great episode imo!

Was that some girlfriend that was actually on Arrow or was she just randomly written in in this episode?

Unclear as to who but had to be someone major from his past to have a conversation of more than 15 seconds.

The son she was talking to on the phone, the one she was getting hot chocolate for, that's Ollie's son, though Ollie doesn't know about him. I can't remember the episode # or anything, but in a past Arrow episode it was revealed that Ollie's mom had paid off a young woman that had become pregnant by Ollie. She moved away to Central City, home of Barry Allen. It was a flashback story as I recall, because it happened before Ollie disappeared aboard the Queen's Gambit and spent his time on the island.

My guess is that son, if he ever makes an appearance in an episode(which he probably won't), will be Connor. In the comics, Connor is the son of Ollie and Shado, but given Shado is dead(barring a Lazarus Pit resurrection), I'm guessing this is their way of writing Connor into the storyline should they ever want to use him.

I just liked the nod they gave to the history they've established. It wasn't just a throwaway. I love when writers acknowledge little things like that.

Season Two, Episode #20

Looked it up. Like I said, I appreciate when writers acknowledge history that could have easily been forgotten.

Yeah, I distinctly remember that scene actually now that you mention it.

Just read they have extended the mid season finale (which will be a full on reverse flash episode) almost 2 extra minutes.

Mark Hamill to play the Trickster on The Flash!

Mark Hamill to play the Trickster on The Flash!

The CW’s “The Flash” is staging another reunion from the ’90s version of the character as HitFix has learned that Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will reprise his role of James Jesse, aka The Trickster on the series.

According to an official description, Hamill’s Trickster is “an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry and Det. West to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.”

“Having Mark reprise his role as The Trickster was on our original wish list when we were planning our version of The Flash,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “Christmas and Chanukah came early for us this year when he said yes! We are beyond humbled and excited to have him joining us for another round of deadly trickery!”

Hamill previously reprised as the voice of The Trickster on “Justice League Unlimited,” but this marks the first time since the 1990s series the he”ll play the character on the screen. Check back here for more info on Hamill’s debut on “The Flash” as we learn it and sound off with your thoughts below! “The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 P.M. on The CW.

Either Wells can time jump and be in two places at the same time or there is some horrible writing happening. If Wells is in fact the Reverse Flash, which based on the scene in his secret closet he is, then why the hell is he stringing Berry along this whole time? If there were two Flashes at Barry's house the night his mom died then that red Flash would have had to have been an older Barry having time jumped to try and stop Reverse Flash from killing his mom to begin with. This is all just about the science for Wells? Why not kill Barry now and be done with it? But then again Wells killed Simon Stag to protect Barry? Makes absolutely no sense. Either way Wells is a freaking nut job.

Secret closet...Lol With a secret closet in the secret closet.

I don't think Wells is RF, he was to concerned with keeping the future the same when Barry lost his powers a couple weeks back. Plus didn't Professor Zoom/ RF need the costume to replicate The Flash's powers? Wells made his voice vibrate without the suit. Impulse/Bart Allen perhaps?

My theory. RF is future Eddie, when he went back to kill Barry's parents, Wells or Impulse went back to stop him. In the fight RF suit gets damaged and can't time travel back to the future. Wells/Impulse decided to train Barry while also trying catch RF.

Also going to guess Caitlin (?) turns into Killer*Frost soon, trying to help Firestorm pretty soon.

Lots of possibilities still in play. It was interesting Dr.Wells had a Flash ring. That would suggest some connection to the Flash. The fact that they've made the West family black seems to eliminate Wally, unless he's adopted family. Jay Garrick never had a Flash ring, as I recall. That tends to lean more toward a future Barry, or, as you suggested Bart. But let's not forget there have also been two ReverseFlashes, so maybe Wells is one of the two, having somehow procured a Flash ring.

I don't know. Like I said, there're still several possibilities.

If Caitlin makes the transition to Killer Frost, what about Cisco? Do you think he ever becomes Vibe? I read up on the character recently and it seems his power allows him to interfere with the speed force. So far, we haven't seen the actual term introduced into the show, but it seems likely it will be eventually. The interesting thing is that the current origin of Vibe has him deriving his power from being caught in the event horizon of a boom tube. If you went with that origin, it could lend more to the idea of HW being Metron, or at least to the idea that Metron is somehow involved with the show. But then why would he have a RF suit? Like I said, so many possibilities are there, it's just a matter of what they choose to go with.

I like the show, but it's a real head-scratcher atm. Personally, I'm still trying to use my inner comic geekdom to put pieces together, but I've yet to find a big picture that puts all the pieces together. FTR, I think that's a good thing. Not knowing keeps you coming back for more.

The ring was another reason I was thinking he was Bart. Also that Barry saw Red and Yellow lightening when his mom was killed. Since we've seen RF, well one version, I kind of thought Wells was maybe the Red lightening he saw. Good question on the RF suit he has. Like you said though so many possibilities though, and its fun to watch and theorize about.

I was thinking Cisco becomes Vibe too. Probably a little later, than Caitlins change. I'm going to guess she's trying to figure out away to regulate Firestorms heat, and an accident happens making her Killer Frost.

Another thing about Wells, I was originally convinced he was Professor Zoom. Mainly because Zoom never really saw himself as a bad guy, he always looked at it as he was pushing Flash's limits making a better Flash. Which would explain why he is constantly pushing him. But why would he have Grodd? So many questions. I forgot about Metron. Traveled in a flying chair iirc, is the wheel chair a hint? Damn it. Lol

It helps that Flash is by far my favorite DC character, so I get giddy when I see the hint of certain things. For a freshman season they have done a great job of giving us hints and teases and keeping us guessing. I've found myself studying Flash history after every show. Lol

Don't think Wells is a speedster. Wouldn't his wounds have healed like Barry's? Agree about Killer Frost. What I think happens too.
