The Flash (CW)

Who was his sister that opened the van at the end (I wasn't a big Flash Comic Reader!)

Her name is Golden Glider. To honest I'm not familiar with her at all. I read flash for a years during the Wally West era. If she made an appearance it was forgettable. A Google search shows a lot of Silver Age and New 52 appearances.

Another good episode. Learned some interesting info about Wells. He's speedy but can't maintain his speed for long at all, maybe a metabolic issue, maybe he does need the wheelchair from time to time? Knowing that though there is no way he's the reverse flash but why the hell does he have the reverse flash suit? Makes very little sense. I did manage to recognize Gideon's voice(Dr Well's talking computer), as Morena Baccarin. The same Morena Baccarin that's currently playing in Gotham as Dr. Leslie Thompkins.
I think the intent is to make Morena Baccarin The Black Canary, whose character happens to make an appearance in all three of Gotham, The Flash, and Arrow. If that's true does that mean the two different networks Fox and CW intend on sharing not only an actor but a character at some point?

That's an unconfirmed spoiler as it's just me coming up with ideas but I decided to spoiler alert that just in case. I could very well be on to absolutely nothing.

I agree he isn't the Reverse Flash maybe Jay Garrick?, Barry from the future?

I don't know where you get that in your spoiler while its the same actress I doubt all three shows are connected.

Also was that the first mention of the Speed Force?

It's not connected yet and may never be. I'm just speculating mostly. I'm not the only one that's come up with the idea of Black Canary though.

I'm not sure what part of the show you are referring to with regard to Speed Force.

She (the Voice) mentioned while he was in his secret room something about the Speed Force!

Maybe, and this is just a theory, but maybe Wells speed increases when he's around Barry. As a conduit of the speed force, maybe proximity to Barry allows him to absorb more, meaning his speed would last longer while around Barry. But without that conduit around, his speed is limited to short bursts.

Which would explain why he wants Barry to get faster. Not a bad theory.

If you think about it, the faster Barry gets, the more he's accessing the speed force. It could be a situation where what started as a drip is growing into a waterfall. I know in the comics Barry eventually gets so fast he can run into the speed force. Wally was/is able to do it as well.

One power Barry has yet to demonstrate on the show that he has/had in the comics is the ability to vibrate his own atoms and basically phase through solid objects. Wonder if they'll eventually take his power to that level?

I think they will. They are slowly trying to tack on powers llike they did in Smallville.

I was thinking recently about Arrow and when they introduced Roy. Got me thinking about Wally. In this case, with Grant Gustin(that is the guy's name, right?) looking so young himself, it would be hard to introduce an older looking Wally. If they bring Wally into the series at some point, he'd have to be a young-mid teenager imo. I think they have enough going on right now that introducing Wally would be a mistake, but somewhere down the road, I think it would be cool.

Also think it would be cool to have a Jay Garrick appearance and have him act as kind of a mentor to Barry, only separate from the STAR Labs crew. Right now, all of Barry's friends interact with Wells and STAR labs, but Jay could be the monkeywrench in Wells' plans, the unknown quantity.

Sorry, just throwing story ideas out there. I grew up on comics, so seeing them come to life, now, as an adult, just takes me back. I love that they actually have comic book shows that are good. I enjoyed Smallville, even though I was never a big Superman fan, but Arrow and Flash are taking it to another level imo.

I know the WB doesn't want to turn into the comic book network, but DC has some other characters that could be great TV shows as well if done correctly. Flash and Arrow are my favorite, but I like Constantine(started slow but getting better) and Gotham as well. Gotham isn't quite as traditional, which I know turns some off, but I find I like seeing all this backstory of Batman come together. It'll be interesting to see the treatment Supergirl receives. But there's still more characters in the DCU that could make for interesting TV.

I like Gotham because there is no Batman, if he was in it I probably wouldn't watch.

I like it because it shows so much of what actually creates Batman. It was more than the death of his parents, and seeing all these villains gain prominence, it's Batman's villains that actually give him purpose. It's like the ultimate origin story imo.

Me too, and I agree. The best part of the show for me is watching The Penguins journey. Looks like we will get to see the birth of The Riddler soon.

Who says Garrick isn't already in the show! After this last episode I don't think Wells is who we think he is!

Wells has a sinister side. Remember he killed that old guy I. One of the first couple episodes. No way he is Garrick unless they are just using the name only.

Barry is too new to be mentoring some kid version of himself. You're looking at something in the future of the show maybe. Barry himself is still somewhat of a liability being so young, to add a kid flash would be ludicrous. Not to mention Iris isn't exactly old enough to be an aunt yet.

First, I said it wasn't the right time to introduce Wally yet. Second, they're going to have to alter his origin as so far, Iris has been presented as an only child. If there was another sibling, you'd think they would have been mentioned by now. My guess is they'll alter his story to make him a cousin, if they ever introduce him. Third, I was an uncle at twelve, so your last point makes no sense whatsoever. Fourth, you need a hug.

You do know how the Aunt/Uncle thing works right? I have an Uncle that's 3 years younger than me, one that's the same age, and an Aunt and an Uncle just a few years older than me, but my grandpa did have 14 kids sooo
