The Foreign Trade Thread

This is what a Warren Administration would look like..........just more Democratic policies at work for you.
Except for the "corporations write the laws" part, everything Warren says in the clip above could have been said by Trump and you wouldn't know the difference.

That was no plan. Rename the Commerce Dept and use "aggressive tools" to keep American jobs at home. What aggressive tools?
All she wants to do is increase the corporate tax rates to historical records.

Trump threatens retaliatory tariffs on French wine after they imposed a digital tax that primarily impacted US based tech companies. France agrees to repeal their tax. This win by Trump likely gets very little coverage in the biased media even though it's a yuge deal.

Wait for the details.

Remember that when Trump talks about how much China wants a deal he is always projecting.

China is going to hold until they see what the result in 2020 are if they can . I don’t really see Trump needing the deal though before 2020

India is Ripe for Growth: Preliminary US-Japanese Trade Deal Achieved/ China Yuan Collapses

Lol no.

Companies want to move to countries that have lower production costs, lower wages, and lower rent and utilities. That’s not India, that’s Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and maybe even Taiwan. It would cost more for major companies to move to India than it would to just stay in China.

Not that laughable according to this article.
India draws up plan to gain from US-China trade war

...
Per the analysis, there are at least 203 lines where India has the potential to replace Chinese exports to the US as it already has market access for these items and is a competitor of China. Since the US has increased tariffs for China on these items, it would be easy for India to increase exports. These items include electrical machinery and equipment and base metals and articles.

US imports from China of these items are worth $30.6 billion, while India’s exports to the US are only worth $2.4 billion. The fact that India has the capability of increasing exports to the US is evident from the fact that India’s total exports of these items to the world are worth $22.2 billion.

Definitely not Taiwan.

Yes, more taxes is the way to keep business here. Nothing helps hiring more than in reasing taxes

Dems can threaten tax hikes on businesses which will cause them to put off investing in domestic production facilities. Then Trump will be blamed for having a stagnant economy. Then if a Dem is elected they can tax the f*** out of businesses and claim to have reduced the deficit while businesses reverse course and invest outside of the USA. Rinse. Repeat.

It's killing me so far. How about you? Really taking it in the shorts, too?

Remember when reckless spending of tax dollars used to be something that republicans pretended to care about? At least you're owning it.

It's peer pressure. You can't get elected without matching the "gifts" the other side hands out. You can't do anything about anything if you are not elected and sitting on the sidelines watching. Any responsible parent knows all about peer pressure from their kids ... so and so's parent's let her do that; why won't you - and then it gets ugly with recrimination. Hard to be a responsible parent when you face peer pressure brought by liberal parents.
