For all the talk about how great Hamilton was at raising money, it's shocking to see how much of the Neyland renovations was paid for with credit.
Your absolutely right.
One thing in his defense though, and I HATE coming to Mike Hamilton's defense. There were millions in pledges to the Neyland project that went uncollected due to the downturn in the economy. It certainly wasn't the biggest issue, but it played a big role.
Yes, the plans and the money was raised before we changed presidents.
Are you referring to the President of the US or President of UT?
If you mean the US President, the most recent recession started well before the current President took office.
If the reference is to the President of UT, which one? There have been several in the past few years.
Parking is terrible???? Well man every large sporting event in the world parking is terrible. If you would just pull out a 20 and pay to park like I do you will never have trouble finding a place you rest the wheels.
Easy turbo!! No ones bashing the king here, just saying there has been a lot of change recently.
there was noting wrong with trying to get the stadium up to code, and doing basic maintenance to fix where it was in complete disrepair. But, obviously they went too aggressive with their plans. Had they spent more conservative in their plans, they could have renovated the south and east sides with the money they spent.
I was at the spring game, and i was completely shocked and embarrassed at the complete disrepair of the east side which includes, poor lighting in the concourses, broken windows, and rusted beams on the outside.
Where is the basic maintenance?
I wish they would take up some concrete and put grass down around the stadium. Need a better place to tailgate
