Not sure you get free drops for OB regardless of what's there. Lol . Not sure why people are so scared of snakes either. When people say snakes are "everywhere" I think I see them all over the place but I've never been anywhere like that.
Out in the desert a month ago my buddy almost stepped right on a rattle snake. He jumped so high.
Could have been bad.
Playing The Grove in Franklin this morning. Was to be a Norman course years ago, but when real estate market crashed, it sat here partially done. Now its fully open and looks incredible. Some huge homes out here.
Was just told Lehman bros owned it and when they crashed, the building stopped. Group named Terra Verda from California came in and bought it all for 12 million. Now they have 120 homesites sold and only 70 members. Not even opening membership outside of neighborhood because everything is paid for.
Needless to say, I just assume any course I play has snakes.
You've got to. The tight asses that play by the rules are endangering lives.
I tell people up front that usga rules are annoying and when they play with me they are playing JKGA modified golf which eliminates:
3 putting the first hole or any hole where the greens look like a goat pen.
Any score above triple bogey .... Unless its hot, in which case you're stopping at double.
Going back to the tee if you lose a ball because you're not breaking 90 anyway. Just throw one down in the fairway parallel to where you went in and play it like a water hazard.
Grinding over 3 foot putts because I'm kicking them all back to you so we have more time to drink. If you really suck, I might start kicking back 4 footers because you're no fun when you're walking around pissed.
Extreme buried lies in the rough or balls that inexplicably plug in the face of a bunker. God didn't really mean for that to happen, so just drag it a foot or two to a spot where you've actually got a chance.

Is that on Patton Rd? Don't you have to sit through a sales pitch for a lot?
I know Carroll County well. Played high school golf at Carol Lake GC. Not a lot if reasons to play there otherwise.
Yeah. Not exactly championship style golf out there. I can count on one hand how many rounds I've played in West TN in the past 20 years. I've been to Carroll Lake,Milan Country Club, and some place in Jackson I can't remember the name of. None were very impressive.
