The Golf Thread

I've inherited a set of my step-dad's old clubs, they're decent, but old school. The irons go down to a 3 and 2, and I think I'd rather go hybrid. Anyone have recommendations for decent/affordable hybrid clubs?

Also, looking to upgrade the 80s era putter I have and I really like the Odyssey Versa Sabretooth. Anyone have any experience with Odyssey putters?

We could give you advice all day and it would all be different. My recommendation is to find a store with either a simulator or a range that will let you hit demos. Same goes for putters. I hate mallet putters, but a lot of players swear by them. See which putter feels the best to you and fits your price range.

One of the prince's was playing with Guy Pelly and 2 other dudes and you can't get to the course without going in the front entrance. I don't know how many security there were but paparazzi was nowhere in sight.
I went to school with the Wilson family kids. He was in the wedding and was sitting right there next to me at the CC telling me the whole deal.
As for your flight info, he and the entire group were outside of Rendezvous prior to the Grizz game @ 6 pm so he made a hell of a quick move.

You got punked.

I liked it better when we just talked about exciting stuff like which golf ball to use.

My dad retired and went to work at one of the state park golf courses here. He used to make us watch golf on tv when I was little. I hate golf. But he loves it. :)

kinda crazy, he doesn't even post in here, then to start that

Harry was not playing @ Memphis CC last Thursday regardless of what you or anyone else says. He arrived at the Rendezvous at dark, which in Memphis that starts around 8:00. The pic of his arrival shows streetlights on & dark skies. At 6 pm streetlights would not be on & sky would be bright. Grizz played at 7 pm that night, not 6.

Just because you do an internet search doesn't meant you are correct. I went to the game. I'm the one that said I saw them outside rendezvous on the way to the game walking from main and Monroe, which you had no idea about. They didn't go in at 8 pm It was well before.
Obviously you can tweet or internet search. Like I said, stalk guy Pelly and ask him yourself. I was there. You weren't.

Meanwhile, Fazio Canyon course here ate me up. Can't miss fairways. Hopefully Crenshaw course isn't as hard. I think we end up paying @ $200/night, but it includes golf each day. Pretty good deal.

You're also the same one that said:

did you see my little story? One of the Prince's hit a ball close to our cart at Memphis CC Thursday morning. I said good shot, he said thank yoo,

we wait to tee off on one hole as a ball is on our teebox - Dude walks up, hits his ball, I say good shot, he says thank you, and it ends up being the prince

Harry. And there was security spread out all over the inside perimeter of the course.

None of this happened. It’s all just some made up story you come on here & posted. Why, that’s anyone’s guess.

And no, I’m not going to text, tweet, call or stalk Guy Pelly or anyone else and ask them anything. Don’t have to.

Prolly could've grabbed his sig on a towel and sold it, but Im not an autograph person and try not to look like an idiot in public.
You must not have any concerns about looking like an idiot in private for posting this type of fabricated garbage

Man, I was just sharing. Went to play golf and grizz game and saw the groom and his groomsmen on both occasions. There were maybe 6 people on the whole course. I asked why they were wearing skinny euro club pants on the course and he told me about the wedding after they drove off.

Call Memphis cc. Call rendezvous. Call your other sources. And go **** yourself when done.

Anyone else think #18 at Sawgrass would be just as difficult to play as #17?

17 is nowhere near as difficult as you expect it to be. The day I played it, it was a smooth 9 iron and an easy par. I'm sure wind and pressure would make it tougher.

18 on the other hand is a complete beast. The lake on the left is in play and visually intimidating and if you bail out right on the approach there's no telling what you're going to get in those moguls.

18 looks absolutely terrifying from the tee box.

Fazio foothills today. Enjoyed it much better than Canyons. Team got whipped though and we are down 2 going into singles matches tomorrow. Two 11 handicappers are not missing a fairway and killing us. Tomorrow is Crenshaw.
