This is actual rap that had meaning before "gansta" rap took over and killed the genre.

Run DMC is the GOAT also not Tupac like these people are saying.


Hell, the Fat Boys were better rapper than Tupac.

Run DMC has a special place because they took the genre to the masses. Was the first rap album I ever heard. Remember listening to it at band camp. Then, the single with Aerosmith hit a year (?) Later.

NWA Straight outta Compton made me wanna get in somebody's face. Never heard anger and power like that before that record.

Y'all are bull****tin in this thread. There's plenty of good rap out there today, y'all are just too damn lazy think Clear Channel/MTV **** is all there is to music. If y'all really dig that early 90's sound just go check out Rhymesayers or Organized Threat. Each label has a handful of good MCs and producers.
