I'm actually of the exact opposite opinion when it comes to Cook and Schraeder. I think Cook is a below average QB who is a mediocre passer. I think Schraeder is decent but is more of a fighter than being purely talented. I think Drinks scheme tremendously helped both players thrive. Many times Schraeder doesn't have anyone touching him until 3 yards past the LOS. With better talent I think Mizzou's offense has plenty of room to be better.

I agree with your assessment. I see both players finding holes to run through because they’re patient and decisive. I compare that to Joe Milton who can run like a freight train but seems to stumble into the only guy who could make a tackle on him. Maybe I should have said they have good spacial awareness.

Cook can’t find anyone to throw to. He gets sacked like once a series.

Robert R Neyland would be proud. Both teams are running single wing offenses

Trying to understand: are you saying that at 10-2 they should be ranked behind 3-loss teams like Arizona and (at-the-time-3-losses) Louisville?

No. I wasn’t comparing them to the poll rankings. My threshold is where I think they would land if every team had to play every other team. In that case, they should finish among the top 15 best records.

I hate the poll rankings because conferences and schedules are not even. Polls primarily use losses as the foundation for where a team should be ranked, even though the opponents are not remotely even.

I hope that makes sense to you. It does to me, but I’m not much of a writer.
