I am far from thinking he sucks. I wouldn't mind him on the list, but closer to 5 than 1. No telling what he could accomplish at a school such as Ut

Yes, Shaw would be a solid choice. Bad news there is no way it happens.

2) Played at Stanford

Have a hard time seeing a California boy leaving his alma mater in the pac12 to take an east coast job in the sec

Bridgewater is highly overrated. I've seen people saying I hope he comes if strong does. No thanks!

Just saw some stats from UL's loss to Cuse. Bridgewater had some big time stats...but threw 3 picks. That will torpedo most any team's chances. Them being undefeated to this point in the season is no small feat. People aren't saying Saban sucks cause his team lost today. Nor Gary Patterson (whom I like).

Strong would be a very good hire. People keep forgetting UL isn't the most prestigious program, even in the Big East. It's a tall task to go undefeated, even in that conference.

Those aren't my 3 (Patterson is, but I was just making a point. Practically anyone we might show interest in, has some disappointing losses if not a season or two).

My thoughts precisely. I don`t see Gruden coming,however. BTW I was called racist in my thread "how UT can win NC in3yrs",because I advocated for a black coach! Reading through this thread I see blatantly racist comments and noone is dogging the posters. Is it because I`m new or what?

Fact is, you haven't been saying he's overpaid. You've been saying he's a lousy coach, yet his record says differently. He has indeed turned his program around. There is a reason he's at the top of the list in more searches than our own

Stop with the racist card. Is it racist to assume black athletes will flock to a black coach because he is black? A good coach is a good coach. There is enough data to think Strong is a good coach but not enough to think he is great.

Probably a new thing, most people in here know when another person is being sarcastic. Plus they like to mess with newbies, don't take it personally. Other advice, if you are sensitive don't enter the zone.
