Yeah, I kind of liked him when he was the DC at UF, but hoping we would get someone with a winning track record at HC, first.

Just saw some stats from UL's loss to Cuse. Bridgewater had some big time stats...but threw 3 picks. That will torpedo most any team's chances. Them being undefeated to this point in the season is no small feat. People aren't saying Saban sucks cause his team lost today. Nor Gary Patterson (whom I like).

Strong would be a very good hire. People keep forgetting UL isn't the most prestigious program, even in the Big East. It's a tall task to go undefeated, even in that conference.

UNC is 6-4 played one ranked team and lost to the cards by 39-34

Cards are 9-1 and have played no ranked opponents. They win each game by an average of lets say...10 points.

Cards are ranked in the mid 30's for each major stat category. For a team thats 9-1 that's not very impressive against the teams they've played. It's also Strongs 3rd year...in your 3rd year he should have some ranked teams on that schedule dont ya think?

You keep forgetting that we're not talking about a big SEC program here. We're talking about a school that's traditionally well below Cincinnati.

I am not racist at all. You have no business saying that about someone when you know nothing about them. My comments about Charlie Strong have always been centered around his salary. I think he is already overpaid for his resume. He is paid over a million dollars a year more than any coach in his conference. I do not feel hiring him here is a good idea as I did not think he is worth 3.5 million dollars or anywhere near that. Today was just another example of WHY I do not feel he is worth top coach money. "Racist" has nothing to do with it and you even mentioning it is sad and pathetic on your part.

UL is traditionally a mid-level Big East team. He has them among the top...even with this loss. Bridgewater had over 400yds today, but also threw 3 picks.

Name me your (realistic) top 3, and I'll show you candidates that have also had their own share of disappointing losses.

Patterson: Check
Tubberville: Check
Butch Davis: Check

My brother would say he's not a racist, but I've heard him say plenty that would suggest otherwise. Saying you aren't doesn't make it so.

Fact is, you haven't been saying he's overpaid. You've been saying he's a lousy coach, yet his record says differently. He has indeed turned his program around. There is a reason he's at the top of the list in more searches than our own

Obviously you have not actually read anything I have said about CS. Just about EVERY post I have made refers to his salary and why I think he does not deserve to be in the same discussion with 4 million dollar coaches. I can't speak for your brother, but you have not witnessed me say anything racist. You spouting off about people being racist because they don't agree with your opinion of a coach IMO should have you banned.

So I'll ask you these two questions. Why do you feel you need to post so many times how he isn't worth the money? I mean after 5 or 6 post we get that you don't want him. My other question is do you think Saban would have been worth the money coming out of Michigan St. The reason I ask that is Strong's resume is as good or better than Saban's when he got the LSU job.

He recruited the number 5 ranked class in the country to Stanford last year, this year they only have 7 recruits but 4 of them are 4 star or higher. By looking at there commits from last year it looks like he recruited nationally. Stanford had a great year last and they're having a good year this year as well.
