The Holly Bobo Kidnapping

Holly Bobo’s remains found in Decatur County

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. –Holly Bobo’s remains were found in Decatur County Sunday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced during a news conference Monday night.

Bobo was last seen April 13, 2011, by her brother, who told authorities he saw Bobo following a man in hunting clothes into the woods near the family home in Darden that day.

Decatur County Sheriff Keith Byrd said hunters found a human skull shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The search scene is in the northern part of the county near suspect Zachary Adams’s home. Adams is facing kidnapping and felony murder charges for the death of Holly Bobo.

District Attorney General Matt Stowe said, “Everyone knows how serious the charges are and how important it is to get to the truth. And we will get to the truth.”

He said the state is “ready, willing, and able” to make this a death penalty case.

“You can delay justice, but you can’t deny it,” he added.

The Bobo family will issue a statement Tuesday.

She was a beautiful person. I never followed the story closely, and I don't venture into the pub enough to stay on top of the news but it absolutely breaks my heart to read this thread. I hope the family can be fine.

It makes me question myself as a brother and a man. If I saw my young sister being led or simply walking away from the house can I honestly say I'm brave and strong enough to go after her 100%? It's easy to say yes, but in that moment you have stuff running through your head that you've never had to face. I would hope I'm fast enough, but it scares the hell outta me to think about that kind if situation.

Prayers for everyone involved.

Well, I guess we all assumed she was dead, but this is still a very depressing release of information. I can't imagine what her parents are going through. I still have my suspicions that the brother is somehow involved.

I pray for all of them. Especially the brother. (assuming he had nothing to do with it.) He was the last "line of defense" in some ways. He'll have to live with that for the rest of his life.

That's been on my mind as well. Their mother has lost a daughter, and her son either didn't take action or was involved. Either way, I just don't know how you get through that?

I still for the life of me can't come up with a reasonable explanation for how the son didn't try to stop what was going on. A neighbor heard the screams but he didn't even though he was closer? It's just too odd.

Add me to the list of those who are saddened by the news. I truly hope that this case results in death penalty verdicts for those involved.

I also hope that this discovery serves as a catalyst for some of these animals to turn on each other and the truth actually comes out.

Holly's family deserves that at least, and whoever is responsible deserves to pay the price. I will be praying for Holly's family and for justice.

I don't believe he will get the death penalty. Not sure as of yet if the state has enough evidence. We all know Adams is guilty, and he will serve out the remainder of his life in prison though.

The area where "hunters" randomly found her skull was searched by air and by ground. You mean after all this time her skull was just laying there on the ground? Somebody buried or got rid of the rest of her body and just left her head sitting their in the middle of the woods?! None of this up to this point makes any logical sense. That's great for the family that finally have closure on whether or not she's really dead or alive but I have to step back and say, "WHAT?!" I'm in no way questioning the fact that Zach Adams is a pos, but did anyone question the random hunters?
