i couldn't remember if haslam was current gov. or old gov. i do live in ky. i'm a she not a he. and i'm curious to whether the money donated was from the state or from him personally and if in every missing persons case moving forward he will now be committed to doing the same.

No. I have heard a lot of people say "well why don't they do this for every one that goes missing"...the answer is very simple. the reason this story has been so popular has very little to do with Holly but more of how the community has came together to find her. As long as they keep having hundreds of people showing up to find her, more people will notice and offer noble donations/support. Missing people are a common thing, but when was the last time you saw hundreds of people volunteering their free time to hunt for someone they didn't even know but just did it because they are from a small community. The money is more of a way for Haslam to recognize the efforts of the volunteers and I do not expect him or anyone to throw up reward money every time some one goes missing, this is just simply an AMAZING case of community coming together.
Haslam isn't rewarding the community.

The simple fact that hundreds of people are looking is the reason we are even having a discussion on here imo. Someone goes missing almost everyday in TN but I cant remember one news story about em, the only reason I noticed this was due to it was coming up day after day. if cops were the only ones looking then this would be a dead story whether no one wants to admit it or not. Im not saying its not a PR move, but I dont expect him or anyone else to put up reward money again just because he did this time was my point. like i said before, this case is just different.
