If she's a hostage then that means she's alive and that's good news.
Or that means they at least know something because I assume Jackson would be much more equipped to handle this as opposed to Lexington or Parsons.
Sadly, I wouldn't want my daughter's life in the hands of those Fife's.
Fortunately, TBI and FBI are involved. I'm sure they have negotiators on site just in case. I'm not sure the significance of the Mad Co. task force.

-Among other things, why would a 25 yr old brother wonder where his 20 yr old sister is? an hour after he thought she was with her boyfriend? and make a phone call at 7 am to said boyfriend?
What kind of Task Force? There are many.
On another note, stranger abductions are rare. Not saying they don't occur but its usually with small children. Unless there is a serial rapist/killer situation. So you start with the familiar and work from there. With the lack of official info coming out it leads me to believe that they are on a certain path and something of a "break" has occurred.
you see her in a fight in the parking lot and then realize she is not going to school like she does every day? I would worry and make a couple calls (and have done that)
She's 20 and with her boyfriend. Seems normal to me that she would be with him. Just questioning why he felt the need to call the boyfriend to check on her at 7:30AM. Just throwing darts here.
