The part that ignores and rewrites history.
Pelosi said she read what was in the public domain. The contents of the call were in the NYT. There were like 15 reps who came out in favor of impeachment, including a half-dozen moderates, before Pelosi even announced she was holding a presser. Her goal was to keep the party together, the means to doing that shifted at the point where those moderates shifted to impeachment.
The part that ignores that a bipartisan group of senators came out and said what happened with Schiff is standard.
You keep saying “what if it was your case.”
That’s pure ignorance of what I do. I don’t exist to go balls out and throw Hail Marys to try to win every hopeless case. I give sound legal counsel based on my experience and then pursue whatever the client decides to do with everything I’ve got.
If my client’s freedom depended on something that easily explained and trying to argue that the police weren’t following their own procedures when my client is on record confessing to most of the elements of the crime, acting like he had a good case would be malpractice.
