The Impeachment Thread

Nope not at all. If it was a Dim, it wouldn’t happen and you know it.
The Trump Administration/Department of Justice is currently trying to block Michael Atkinson from briefing the House Intelligence Committee on the substance of the "whistleblower's" complaint. This complaint was lodged against Donald Trump and submitted to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Atkinson, a Trump appointee, is regarded as a non-partisan official (as an Inspector General should be). So, what is the Trump Administration so afraid of? This complaint just recently surfaced but it was made two months ago. Atkinson has characterized this matter as being "urgent". Why don't they want Atkinson talking to the House Intelligence Committee? Regardless of what side of the aisle you sit on, that has to be considered a fair question.

Big and bad........he told somebody once to fire a prosecutor in Ukraine.....he's a mean bad mofo that Joe is...
He even wants to take President Trump out back just so he can whip him... Joe's one bad ass.
Trump seem like a bad ass to you? Bc he seems kind of like a pussy to me. And that has zero to do with Iran.

I give up, how?
It’s your theory. If the whole thing is made up the inspector general has to be in on it. That’s what you said: partisan whistle blower.... muh, whatever. So must be a partisan IG, too, right? He called it credible. He called it urgent. He must be in on it, right? Why did Trump hire this guy?

You haven’t thought about how that happened. No ideas? Okay.

That’s not great, but it’s alright because there’s still the appearance of impropriety. I assume you’ve got some solid proof that Biden acted in his own self interest. You’ve got some credible information that this prosecutor was investigating Hunter Biden. So, let’s see it!

The right can't get around that. Their defense to every accusation made against Trump is blame it on partisanship, but they can't do that when it involves a Trump appointee like the Inspector General, Michael Atkinson. They are blocking him from briefing the House Intelligence Committee on the substance of the "whistleblower's" complaint because Atkinson has expressed serious concerns about the "whistleblower's" claim. He has called this an "urgent" matter.

This complaint definitely falls under the purview of the House Intelligence Committee and this story will not die until Michael Atkinson has briefed them on it.

You need to read it yourself. The prosecutor was investigating Burisma. Biden worked for them. How he was qualified for that job no one knows. Well we all how he got the job, Joe wheeling and dealing.

Lol

Great retort... it's what an ignorant person likes to say, when they have nothing to say, but still want to say something anyway.
You believe anything and everything these MSM outlets report no matter how often it turns out to be a hoax.

I literally laughed out loud at your reaction to this “story”.

The right is digging hard trying to change the narrative to Biden. I haven't seen a cogent defense yet of what Trump has been accused of. Conservatives just want to make this about Biden. It might make sense as a strategy but this is a Trump story until Atkinson briefs the House Intelligence Committee on the substance of the "whistleblower's" complaint against Trump. It's not going away either.

Established facts:

  • There was a complaint lodged against Donald Trump, by a member of the United States Intelligence Community, concerning a phone call that Trump had with the President of Ukraine in July.
  • The Inspector General, Michael Atkinson, has described this complaint as being "urgent" and "serious" and explained that it involved the "most significant" responsibilities of intelligence leadership. Michael Atkinson is a Trump appointee.
  • The Trump Administration with assistance from the Department of Justice is keeping the House Intelligence Committee from learning what this member of the Intelligence Community, now being referred to as a "whistleblower" is alleging.
Those facts have been reported by Fox News as well as what you would call the "mainstream media".

Where did you see the prosecutor was investigating Burisma?

If there is nothing to any of this? All the more reason to allow Atkinson to brief the House Intel Committee. That would dispel any misconceptions or misinformation that have been circulating.
Why don’t you hold the same true for the alleged FISA abuse?

Michael Horowitz has a report on FISA that should be made public shortly.

I hope so. But, just like those thinking Trump is going down, I keep hearing soon.

I agree about Atkinson. I think the story sticks around unless he goes before Congress. I’m not sure Trump cares if the story lingers because, as we see, some of his will believe literally any dog **** theory of his innocence, no proof required.

Even if both stories turn out to be true, Trump comes out better because his people don’t have other options and they just don’t care.

Biden’s support is softer than that.
