The Impeachment Thread

Trump has already said live on TV that he did what the whistleblower alleged. Maybe Fox News can hide that from their audience, but anyone who is interested and paid 5 minutes attention will see that Trump did in fact use foreign aid to extort the elected leader of Ukraine while asking for help with his 2020 election. Then he sent Giuliani over to continue the pressure. This is no longer up for debate.

Let me help.

Good Trumpers are supposed to move on to the, "Sure he did it but there is no law that explicitly says that this particular act is illegal." Please catch up.

Where did you see the prosecutor was investigating Burisma?

Joe Biden's 2020 Ukrainian nightmare: A closed probe is revived

“But Ukrainian officials tell me there was one crucial piece of information that Biden must have known but didn't mention to his audience: The prosecutor he got fired was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm Burisma Holdingsthat employed Biden's younger son, Hunter, as a board member.”

Shokin told me in written answers to questions that, before he was fired as general prosecutor, he had made "specific plans" for the investigation that "included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden."

“It couldn’t be clearer, and that’s not just undermining democratic institutions, that is treason,” Weld said. “It’s treason, pure and simple, and the penalty for treason under the US code is death, that’s the only penalty.”

-Bill Weld

The president also said there was "no quid pro quo, there was nothing," and, "It was a perfect conversation." (Sunday)

So, to ask the obvious question, why doesn't Trump release the full phone call transcript (and tape if there is one) and prove his innocence? I'd love to hear what a 'perfect' conversation with Trump sounds like. LOL

I'll make you a deal: Trump resigns this week and Biden drops out of the race on the same day.

The obvious question is what does Bill Weld have to hide that he would openly accuse POTUS of treason?

This isn’t a normal reaction.

“Trump camp has zeroed in on idea that Biden wanted Shokin fired b/c he was investigating Burisma, the company his son worked for. In fact, Shokin wasn't investigating Burisma — he wasn't investigating much of anything — which is a big reason the West & Ukrainians wanted him fired”

The Ukrainian perspective is something else.

LMAO. Mkay. Again, why doesn't Trump release the transcript? He can prove definitively that he's right once again about all these "fake news" and politically-motivated shenanigans.

Viktor Shokin was fired because he was collecting a check on the backs of the Ukrainian people while shielding his friends and allies from corruption investigations.

Trump's newfound concern about government corruption is touching.

LOL, yeah, quite a bit of irony there. Especially when one considers that Trump has a history in a fairly short time of urging retaliatory investigations and prosecutions of his rivals. "Russia, if you're listening" and "lock her up!" being the first examples of him encouraging use and abuse of the system to bully and antagonize his enemies.

So, putting aside for one moment whatever misdeeds Trump did, do the Bidens and their dealings in the Ukraine warrant investigation? That seems to be getting lost in the media and the left calling for Trump's head. What's the underlying story?

Wouldn’t surprise me if Trump is the whistleblower. He trolls the media into a frenzy every chance he gets.

Burn it down.

I think you've failed to grasp that far fewer people g.a.s. if Biden gets locked up, he's collateral damage to watching Trump twist and swing from the highest branch.

That would take a galactic amount of stupidity. It doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't surprise you.

A prosecutor was removed from office in the Ukraine, with the Obama administration (among others) supporting that decision. Trumpsters claim that the real reason for the Obama administration to support his ouster was that he was investigating a company for which Hunter Biden sat on the board of directors. The rest of the world says the prosecutor was ousted because he was corrupt and was actually protecting, among others, pro-Russian interests.

According to Fox News' fact checking department -- that's right FOX NEWS -- the Trumpster version is a made up controversy and there is no factual support for the claims either that the son had done anything wrong or that Biden tried to oust the prosecutor to protect his son.

So the underlying story is that, when faced with another accusation of very serious misconduct, Trump is yet again reduced to the "I know you are but what am I" routine.

That's fine. If they can prove Trump did something illegal, fry his ass. I know plenty of people are saying he did, but we'll see what comes of it. I'm just curious about what the Bidens supposedly did in the Ukraine. Mainly interested in if our leftist posters feel it deserved of investigation.

MSM is constantly calling for the head of Trump. I haven't seen much about what the Bidens supposedly did.
