The Impeachment Thread

Uh oh Sketios

Is there consequences to asking to REOPEN an investigation that was already happening but was shut down by Biden's threat? Oh I'm sorry, thats the original quid pro quo that got this all started.
Where were all the "ethical" people when this happened. The ones speaking out now who worked in foreign service didn't have ethics then but they do now? I thought this was why we had diplomats in foreign countries to smooth over every time the USA made
"requests" for all the funds we were "going" to send them. The basic "Quid pro quo" that's been going on since the first politician had an idea.
Almost as if the dirty system used by the US and every other large country with pull and money is being brought out because people like me always knew it existed but some seem shocked by it. All the sudden it's in the open, in the public eye and now everyone who is "apolitical" are having an ethical coming out party? Business as usual is now interrupted.
What a farce.

He more than likely has his own little backroom set up w/a cot just for that and an alarm clock.

I looked back and Bowels posted until 2:32 a.m. and apparently went to work. Zepp until 2:37 a.m. and back at 7:38. Rocky Top until 3:07 and back at 8:50. Weezer until 2:10 and back at 6:13. These folks need a lot less sleep than I do. I can't hang with any of them. They are all more like Trump than they want to admit. I think he sleeps about 4 hours a night.

Wow. Whistleblower protection is now bad. Mr. Paul, you are a blowhard, boot-licking fool.

I call on Congress to have the courage to immediately subpoena both Hunter Biden and the whistleblower!

Dude didn't follow the proper procedures so no he doesn't deserve the proper protections. It's the details that get them.

You're going an awfully long way to carry water for a President who broke the law yet remained in office a couple of decades ago. You're not going to convince me that Congress didn't screw that up. The man committed a crime. I don't care how popular he was.

As far as Trump goes, the Mueller Report was pointless. Sorry, I just don't see it the way you do. No collusion was found. So what do you want me to gather from it? Obstruction? You just posted a full argument on how it's okay if a President obstructs as that was one of Clinton's crimes. And truthfully, I do not put much merit in the Mueller Report because it seemed like overreach by the Dems. I'd feel the exact same if the right had done it to a Dem. When I say black and white, I mean I see right as right and wrong as wrong, no matter who does it. My opinion is not shaded by partisanship.

If you ask me if I think Trump has done wrong, my answer is yes. If you ask me if he's done anything that warrants impeachment, I'd say it's highly probable. But what I think and feel are not hard evidence, and quite frankly, I've yet to see anything I'd consider hard evidence. For all this that you(and others) somehow think I support Trump, I've pleaded that the left run a better candidate to win the 2020 election because, IMO, that is the best chance of truly removing him from office. We were faced with a no win situation in 2016. And though I feel the lesser of two evils won(I've made my opinions on Hillary clear), that doesn't mean I "support" Trump. There was no good choice and someone had to win. The left could fix that in 2020, but so far, it doesn't seem they will.
Carrying water? Because I’m telling you that your understanding of the nature impeachment is wrong?

I told you less than a week ago that I would have voted to remove Clinton. That hasn’t changed in 21 years, it didn’t change this week.

As I said, it’s a subjective assessment of acceptable conduct. The intent to establish this structure is clear from the nature of the established process and the contemporaneous writings. The reason for it is equally clear.

In determining what is acceptable conduct to you, you are (or rather your Senator is), free to substitute a legal standard in place of your own morals, as you have done. You can absolutely say that you personally require that the president commit a crime in order to be removed, as you have said. You can even be selective in the application of this criteria and say that crimes committed by some presidents warrant removal but similar crimes committed by other presidents don’t, as you have done.

But you are also saying that the constitution requires this standard. It doesn’t. It wasn’t intended to. And this is all clear from the contemporaneous writings of the framers.

The "whistleblower" is a partisan hack and should be exposed and if he hasn't already, relieved of his duties.

Your problem is meth. I believe that is how they pay you to post the things you post.

What a farce.

There was no investigation to be shut down. There was a prosecutor fired, but there was no active investigation into Burisma.

There had been investigations and allegations into Burisma before Hunter Biden was there, but the attempt to connect him to those allegations are an intentional misrepresentation of a timeline.

John Solomon, in my opinion, is a propaganda conduit for Russian interests in the Ukraine, particularly the gas industry.

Here's some good info..

And more regarding the timeline that doesn't fit the narrative:

It's about time you came around. Both Biden's and Trump's requests were quid pro quo... .

Now, on to the next step. Which one of the two sought to damage a political rival, and resulted in their impeachment?
lol.

So now if the media creates some story about Mr Trump using his office to enrich Ivanka, you would be OK with it. Good to know, because I think when all this BS you guys are trying to overturn the 2016 election completely blows up in your face, that will be next.
