The Impeachment Thread

Setting up Trump's defense that this was all Giuliani and Sonderland run amuck?

My guess is that pretty soon (if they haven't already) they'll start to figure out that it's every man for himself in clown show. Unless your name starts with Tr and ends with ump, you are at real risk of being hung out to dry or being used as a patsy, I have a feeling that Giuliani thought he was a part of the family and thus an untouchable.

So he didn't tell the "truth" the 1st time but the "amended" testimony is the real deal or "truth"

Yep, he committed perjury, ergo his attorney advised him to provide a revision. This was patently obvious to Committee members who remarked that he likely lied previously.

And, yeah, he's part of Trump's super group of liars.

Are you suggesting that 2.5% is something to be proud of? Trump promised 3% last year, and he once ridiculed Obama for the same number. Every indicator shows an economy that is slowing down. We may not reach the point of a recession, but the economy is definitely cooling off.
Lol 2.9% is pretty close to 3

But that was Obama, his 2.5% was based on an uneducated community organizers lack of business acumen. This 2.5% comes from a Wharton man, so you know it's solid.

All those words to avoid saying yes or no.

I apologize, I'm simply too stunned to believe that you couldn't figure it out on your own... Goodness, go back and read it again and let me know what you think?

I'll even highlight the important bits for you.

Sounds like Volker echoed the trumps defense that Ukraine didn't know military aide was being held up. If so, that's a sticky point when making the argument that it was a "this for that"...........as a request without threat of consequence is just a request (however un-American and distasteful as it may be).

Helluva alot better than that negative 2.5 your guy put up his first year

Absolutely.

Sondland lied the first time around and has since found out that witnesses called after him testified truthfully as to his role. So Sondland "amended" his testimony to try to avoid being indicted for perjury.

Coming from the strongest economy in history with record unemployment, 3% should be a fv<king embarrassment. And you're here touting it as a feature and benefit to Trumps economic chops? gtfo.
Compare what Trump has been able to achieve with a mature economy with what either Bernie or Warren will do. Hold on to your ass if a democrat gets elected because your but will be handed to you.

Keep in mind that the next - or at least the end game - position of Trump and his ilk is going to be the following:

"There's nothing wrong with quid pro quo."

He might wrap it into a sentence so that it comes out something like this, but it's all the same:

"I never did quid pro quo. It was a PERFECT call. But even if I did do quid pro quo, there's nothing wrong with that."

He should just stick with there was no quid pro quo, at least from my administration.

And don't let anyone from the administration show up to these faux hearings
