The Impeachment Thread

In all seriousness, what need is there for whistleblower testimony? What are republicans hoping to get that they won’t get from Sondland, Taylor, etc.?

I don't know but if called I don't see how he could legally refuse.

I am curious of what those that lean a little to the left on this board have to say about what Tim Morrison said about the call? Apparently he was listening to the call and didn't have any concerns that what was said was illegal.
I look at it the same way you would look at a Hillary supporter saying that they were not concerned with the way she handled the emails.

Looking at the call summary that they released, it’s obvious to me that Trump was pressuring Ukraine to meddle in the 2020 election. I will also say that the way the summary reads gives quite a bit of wiggle room for Trump. The call itself would not be enough to prove that it was a quid pro quo, but is enough to warrant a further look into what was going on beyond the call.

Although Morrison said he didn’t believe that there was anything illegal on the call, he also stated that he was concerned about it. His testimony about things going on around the call was not at all good for Trump. He basically backed up the testimony given by others about the funding being held up until Zelenskyy gave a public statement to say Ukraine was opening up investigations into Bidens and the 2016 election.

So to answer your question, I see nothing in his testimony that changes the narrative.

Being a carnival barking buffoon is not the same thing as being tough. Trump is a tough talking wimp whose skin is so thin you'd be able to see through it if it weren't for all the Cheeto dust. Since you brought him up, I'd wager good money that Obama could best Donny in any contest up to and including throwing hands.

LOL.......do you feel better now after your little rant? Bless your heart....you gave a good try...

Yep just like I said. Hearsay is what DIMs have for evidence. It figures.
Ukraine envoy had ‘clear understanding’ on quid pro quo, but no firsthand knowledge of Trump plans: transcript
Democrats on Wednesday released a transcript of testimony from U.S. diplomat Bill Taylor in which he claimed to have a “clear understanding” that President Trump wanted to leverage military aid to Ukraine in return for investigations that could benefit him politically -- while acknowledging he didn't have firsthand knowledge of "what was in the president's mind."
...
The transcript shows that Taylor testified he had been told by other officials that the White House was willing to hold up both military aid and a prospective White House meeting with Ukraine's president to extract a public announcement from Kiev that probes related to election interference and a company linked to former Vice President Joe Biden's son were underway.
"That's what Ambassador Sondland said," Taylor said, referring to E.U. ambassador Gordon Sondland. "He said that they were linked. They were linked."
But Republicans have pushed back that Taylor did not have primary knowledge regarding the key events in question, but rather based his testimony off conversations with others.

If they want to keep the Senate it'll happen. They risk a complete Democratic takeover of the Senate if they hang on to the sinking ship.

Bless your heart. You don't even know what's coming.

I think you said the same thing when I LOL'ed at your prediction of the Muell taking Trump down.

This is all political theater and Nancy will drag it out as long as she can and there will not be an impeachment vote. Also don't be surprised when she loses the house next Nov.

It's painfully transparent when you desperately want to have something clever to reply with but can't.

You've become a shell of your former self. Truthfully, you don't even try to mount arguments anymore - instead just attacking posters with grade school antics.

Lindsey Graham is such a joke.

How do you say that you haven’t seen any evidence of a quid pro que, while also stating that you refuse to look at the evidence. 😂😂😂
