Thank you. This is more or less what I was trying to say. Chasing skirt among your subordinates is not accepted in any professional workplace because all of the legal elements of sexual harassment are inherently present and obvious except for the “unwanted,” which is suppressed by the power dynamic that encourages consent in those situations.

Roger Ails, Bill O’Reily, Harvey Weinstein... these things have a tendency to end badly even if some of them are consensual. This shouldn’t be news to anybody.

As I said, the counsel for the republicans floated a line of questions that attempted to establish that Trump withheld aid because he was justifiably mad at Ukraine over things that were said publicly by the last Ukraine administration. That’s part of their defense.

You can see in the confession where Trump himself raises this.

You can see in the confession how Zelensky tries to lay all that in the old admin.

There are also some texts provided by Volker that show how Ukraine doesn’t want to be involved in US Domestic politics.

They need the money. Again, they’re in a shooting war with Russia. You guys flip out over the idea of a socialist presidential candidate, I’m sure you can empathize with them over having a communist army wanting to take over their country.

I don’t know. I mean it’s not like he’s in a shooting war with one of the most powerful militaries on the planet and needs funds to continue fighting. What could it be?

Not soft selling anything. It was like 2 am and the gears weren’t running as smoothly as usual.

Those workplace rules exist for a reason and it’s not the job of the person who was violating them to decide whether a violation of those rules is justified or whether he has to give details or documents about it or admit to it, when asked, particularly when he is an elected official. They don’t get to decide what they’re accountable for. The people do.
